He couldn’t hit when he was here and now we are the worst hitting team in the ACC. With all the talent we have on this team there is no excuse for us being this lousy offensively.
I like Bradley personally but it’s time for him to go.

So Bradley is the reason we are getting the better talent now??? Wasn’t he recruiting coordinator under Leggett as well. Monte is the reason we are getting better recruits.

Couple of things here. Bradley coaches the infielders and recruits. He has very little to do with the hitting side of it. Monte and Starbuck coach the hitters. Monte coaches outfielders, as well. As for this year’s team, you lost 3 regulars from last years lineup. Rohlman hit .361, Pinder hit .305, and Cox hit .280. Those ABs have been replaced primarily by Wharton .235, Wilkie .219 (Williams to 1B for Cox, Wilkie to C), and guys like Teodosio .167, and Cromwell .241. That accounts for a big part of the difference. Beer and Davidson are down a little, but Greene is way up.

So I guess being the hitting coach is just a label? We don’t have a single hitter batting over .300. We never adjust to how we are being pitched.

Just providing information for you. I haven’t seen him “labeled” the hitting coach. I’m just telling you who actually coaches what from having had a son in the program.

I am fine with our record but if we want to win championships batting .240 as a team isn’t going to get it done. Play in a little bigger ballpark ie Omaha and the home runs we are hitting are now fly ball outs. It’s a recipe for failure when you get into the tournament. Anytime we face a team that doesn’t walk batters and pitches us on the outer half we don’t score runs.

We aren't playing as well at this point last year, hopefully the bats wake up in the second half of the season. Particularly the last part of the season.
It's not a smart move to think that what has happened will continue to happen throughout the season.

Based on the law of averages and what we've seen most of the players on this team do the hitting has to increase at some point this year.
Of course, it could get worse, only time will tell.

Also, Bradley was hitting coach last year before it was given to Starbuck. And after looking it up it appears we were 2nd in ACC in hitting last year.
