Observation on recent posts "In Quarantine" or just deleted

I've noticed in the last few weeks, when reviewing my Activity Feed, several posts are shown as "In Quarantine" or simply deleted.

None of these posts would have contained any profanity, personal attacks, or any such thing. Some further checking led me to understand that the entire tread was taken down, not just my comments (made me feel a little bit better, being pretty sure I hadn't done something wrong).

E.g.

Then I realized something: all those comments were proximate to Judge Keller comments. Many were in response to JK comments, but many were just on threads JK also commented on.

I'm left wondering why these treads are taken down?

If enough people hit the orange flag icon at the bottom of a post (I don’t know the exact number), that post and, I believe, all responses to it are removed. I guess JK’s incessant trolling of Dabo and the football program has ticked off enough people that some have resorted to this to remove his posts. I personally don’t agree with this approach unless a post is blatantly offensive like some from clemsonsctiger and a few others have been or like the one the other day that misidentified the former Clemson football player who is posting about his son’s supposed issues with Dabo. Since that one blamed the wrong Clemson legend for those posts, it should be removed to not cause issues for the innocent former player.

I believe the immature trolling from the likes of JK should be left on here for everyone to see just how those trolls operate and let them take their well deserved lumps from others.

Agree largely except the mods let the trolls avoid their due lumps via abuse of the Ignore feature. Once someone catches on they're simply added to the ever-expanding list.

Doesn’t really matter if they don’t see the responses. Everyone else sees them and understands what is happening. I see it as entertainment.
