When this first broke he was so arrogent and refused to even let callers discuss the POSSIBILITY that Paterno knew about any of this.

that JoePa is being made a scapegoat becasue he's no longer around to defend himself.
One thing is for certain, this report will open the flood gates for a wave of civil litigation against Penn State and the Joe Paterno estate.

with the findings of this report....it's unbelievable how these guys swept this dirt bag under the rug to protect this football program and their own images.

is if you had done anything at all this wouldn't have happened to me....it's amazing these guys didn't snap out of this Paterno haze and make rational decisions that they knew could come back to hurt them and the school.
"In order to avoid the consequences of bad publicity, the most powerful leaders at the university -- Spanier, Schultz, Paterno and Curley -- repeatedly concealed critical facts relating to Sandusky's child abuse," the report said.

I wish he was still around to stand trial. Guilty or not (likely guilty) I'd like to hear his side of the story and what could've possibly been going through his head to make him make those decisions.

so many years developing. He was more concerned about it and his legacy than the kids. Fairly obvious.

I don't think Paterno ever even remotely envisioned the magnitude of the problem and the number of children victimized by Sandusky. Of course, part of that was becasue he largely ignored the problem and did very little, if anything, to find out.

When does NCAA step in? Sounds like lack of institutional control to me, at the highest level. This case should become top priortity (2nd only to coot scandle) and sanctions should be handed down.
