I’m confused with those who are not educated in our team saying we don’t have the talent? We have talented guys at every position. Obviously we are lacking in spots but number 5 composite ranking means we have talent. It’s clearly a coaching issue and those who don’t see that don’t know what they’re talking about.

I agree, but I also think depth plays a part

I dont think talent is lacking at certain spots, but I do think like most other teams in the portal and NIL era we struggle with depth and that has not been an issue until recently. I do think that we have a roster full of good talent, but we just arent as deep as we have been at positions as is the case with most programs now. This does put a greater emphasis on coaching, evaluation and recruiting more than the developmental system Dabo tended to gravitate the program towards in the past. I do think we need coaches with experience, but also proven track records on coaching, evaluation and recruiting more than anything else, with and emphasis on evaluating portal players and recruits.

it's got to be in the right spots........

to be "ELITE" at this level we must have ELITE talent at:

across the DLINE: don't have it
QB: Cade's adequate enough to win a national title w/ ELITE around him
WR: haven't been ELITE the last 4 years however we made strides this year and moore & Wesco have that potential for next year
RB: Don't have it.......we need explosive speed here......hopefully we have it next year.

the rest of the positions you just have to be solid.

When you hear we're not even close to our ELITE years talent wise.........THOSE are the positions that have the largest discrepancy (excluding coaching positions)
