Many of You "Tiger" Fans Really Are Sad.

Sure, we all hate our team to lose a game. However, many of you act like an undefeated record is all that is acceptable. That is crazy! Look how many undefeated teams there are each season. One or two in most years! If we were really as good as we all hoped, we would have won. We didn't win, so we're not.
We still have a team that is very good, and I'm proud of them! I'm hoping for a bounce back against Maryland and the rest of the season. You should too! Get over the loss and get your act together to support our Tigers (18-22 year olds by the way). Our coaches deserve better too! I'm sure you don't beat yourself up after a bad day or week at your office or job like you do our team.
Go Tigers!

Do you think you would be typing this post had we lost a hard fought game, by a score of like 31-27?
For most on here I don't believe it's that we lost, it's how we lost.

I had a bet at the beginning of the season with a co-worker and felt we would go 9-3, so losing was not what hurts. It is the way we lost, we looked like a team that was not prepared. We never gave up but we just looked like we were the team with a week off. Maybe a last second field goal would have stung more but playing the way we did...just made me sick because I know we are a better team that played on Saturday. Go Tigers, pick up your jocks and move on to the next game.

Doesn't matter. Who on here has never had an awful outcome when you wanted much better. I hate the way it came out as well, but I'm sure not as much as the actual players and coaches.
If we win out (before a bowl)or finish the season 4-1, is that a lost season, heck no.
It's fine to be disappointed as fans, but we need to be like we hope our team will be, move on. They need our support for the rest of the season. Honestly, this site sounds to a large extent like the "meltdowns" many talk about when USuC loses on the FGF.
We should be better than that.
Now, back to work for me.
Go Tigers!

If people cannot stomach losing...

they need to go watch Barney. Even Alabama loses. They lost to Texas A&M last year, and the year before they lost to LSU. Yeah this is a crappy loss, but its not as bad as the WVU loss. Its only the middle of the season not the end.

it is good however that's it's in the middle of the season.. we'll get over it quicker.
You realize that was the biggest game in the history of DV and FSU scored the most pts ever allowed by an opponent in DV.
It was a REAL bad loss.... don't lose sight of that.
I'm not saying the sky is falling and we can't bounce back and still have a REAL good season by anyone's standards, but it was an UGLY, embarrassing loss and the reason we'll be hearing "##########" for years to come.

It was a much bigger game, but we lost to a way better team. Right now Winston looks like he could easily start in the NFL. I think this loss looks real big right now, but I think we will come to find out it was not as big as we once thought. I hate the loss as much as anyone, but the WVU loss was way worse. We lived with that loss for a whole off season (and really til we beat LSU in the bowl).

the severity of the beating we took and the humiliation that naturally comes with it. Any loss would have been a big letdown, but a close one in which we played well would have been different.

And, in the 1980's, we only finished top 5 ONE TIME,

and that was the year that we won it all. That's right - during the Golden Age of Clemson football, under the great Danny Ford, only one top 5 finish. I was there, I love Danny Ford, and it WAS a great time. Expectations were different - the fan base was different, and there was no internet. Perspective is everything.

for awhile. I'm not going to talk about the turnovers at this point. There is too much good about our team to think things are like they were over a decade ago.
Still have a competitive football team.

quite as bad had we not been down 51-7 in the fourth quarter in arguably the biggest home game in Clemson history, or many decades.
