that died from COVID had a comorbidity. The most prevalent being obesity and diabetes.
But sitting at home and taking a vaccine (getting a donut afterwards) was the cure. Definition of insanity.

Got to add in all the cancer people. Heart conditions. High BP. Schizophrenia. Age. Type A blood. When you get finished 94% of people who didn't die of covid have comorbidities too.

This whole thread seems several years late and residing in the past. The continued bitterness doesn’t seem healthy.

The boomers who are sitting back in their golden years don't really get it, nor does the work from home crowd whose job wasn't impacted...but the shutdowns and other "rules" kicked a whole lot of folks square in the nuts and severely hindered/destroyed their way of life for no real reason or benefit. There will be no moving on, I will forever remember and hate the covidians who pushed the insanity so many want to forget about.
That hatred might not be healthy, but neither was retarding kids development by forcing them to sit at home or wear a mask 24/7. The problems in child development are showing up in spades now, and that will be a much longer lasting problem. Hope you enjoy being taken care of by a CNA who didn't know her days of the week until she was 12, cause that's what we'll be working with in the not so distant future.

everybody to hide in their house, and forcing a new vaccine onto everybody despite younger folks having almost zero statistical threat from it. Soft was hurting the younger generations for the benefit of the older.

school with other kids, vaxxed or unvaxxed, raises the chance my vaxxed kid gets the illness, along with yours.
You don't know how vaccines work, and that's ok. Neither does the guy running healthcare in Florida. NO VACCINE EVER CREATED EVER STOPPED TRANSMISSION OF ANYTHING. Period. Even smallpox, that vaccine wasn't perfect. It was 72-75% effective in preventing infection/transmission, that's it. It wasn't perfect. Measles vaccine, also in the 70's. TB, same. Influenza, even less, around 60%.
So why mandate vaccines? So they can actually be effective. If 95% of people get a 72% effective measles vaccine, guess what happens? Measles disappears. If 95% of people get a 72% effective smallpox vaccine guess what happens? Smallpox disappears. If only 85% of people get a 72% effective measles vaccine, measles will circulate widely, with many infections. If 85% of people get the 72% effective smallpox vaccine, we'd still have smallpox.
It's one of those things where there is inherent strength in numbers, and for the mouth-breathing freedom/individualism nuts, that's just too much to ask, to have nice things.
You remind me of my dad. He never wore a seatbelt. Muh freedom!!!! His thinking, like yours, is what does it matter if I CHOOSE NOT to wear a seat belt? One day we were in the car, and I put my seatbelt on, as always, and he didn't, as always. I asked him to put it on, very nicely. He refused, because HE didn't like them. I said fine, then please put it on FOR ME. See, if we're hit from the side, I'd just assume you don't fly over into my seat and crush me.
And from that day forward, my father ALWAYS wore a seatbelt, at least when I was in the car. BECAUSE HE DIDN'T THINK ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE UNTIL I FORCED HIM TO.

worlders were allowed to pour into the country year after year with no quarantine, etc. but now that a state drops the mandate for actual citizens it's all of the sudden a huge problem.
Time will tell, but I suspect this will be another nothing burger considering we've been operating under the same conditions for a few decades now, only difference is it might be an unvaccinated white kid instead of a non english speaking brown kid so we're allowed to hate on them and their parents.

You do know vaccines are mainly geared for children and not adults, right? And I'm sure you know and understand why as well.

Here's some more context and useful information.

Often times, the comorbidities were symptoms of coronavirus infection.
When filling out death certificates, physicians will typically use a standard format and list the primary cause of death as well as other contributing factors.
He provided an analogy to someone dying of a gunshot wound whose death certificate might list gunshot wound, along with hemorrhagic shock and liver laceration, as causes of death, with homelessness (associated with more exposure to potential violence, here a contributing factor). For someone who died of COVID-19, the death certificate might read COVID-19, as well as pneumonia and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) as causes of death, with diabetes and hypertension as contributing factors. https://www.reuters.com/article/world/fact-check-94-of-individuals-with-additional-causes-of-death-still-had-covid-1-idUSKBN25U2I4/
This is based on information the CDC had in 2020, which the current administration says we can't trust.
Older people are especially vulnerable to COVID-19 and they're more likely to have comorbidities not because they're unhealthy but because they're simply old.
The Trump administration handled the pandemic the same way all other industrialized countries did, albeit less aggressively than China. They're very sorry for the inconvenience.

AIDS even. You die from something CAUSED by that.
So a typical flu death certificate will read cause of death:
ARDS (secondary to) pneumonia (secondary to) influenza
Replace influenza with covid and you have a covid death certificate.
Heart attack will read: myocardial infarction arteriosclerotic coronary artery disease
It gets difficult with covid and some other viruses like influenza because they can cause MANY things. Covid CAN cause heart attacks, strokes, aneurisms, pneumonia and ARDS. Every covid wave there's a concurrent wave of extra heart attacks. Just happens.
An AIDS death certificate would often show:
ARDS pneumonia HIV
So the conspiracy guys would say it was all fake. ZERO death certificates showed covid as the cause of death, because if the death certificate showed covid as the proximal cause of death, that's an incorrect death certificate.
When you see multiple lines under the cause of death, the top one is the proximal (immediate) cause, and you can then think "secondary to" when you go down the list, as those were the contributing causes that led to the final/ultimate cause.

Maybe drinking as much alcohol as you do is equally as unhealthy? Something to consider. I am sure you're an alcoholic. As am I. I don't think critiquing overweight people is the place of an alcoholic.
