What it is in the Wake Forest water ?

First their football team wins 10 games, their basketball team has a heck of a season, now their baseball team has won 26 games already. For such a small school they're kicking butt athletically.

Actually, I live in Winston-Salem. The last time I went to one of their baseball games it was basically pay your $5 to get in then just sit where ever you like. Most of their sports don't really draw that well unless they're playing Duke or the Tarholes. They do draw pretty good for soccer games sometimes though.

pokes at the 4 idiots on here that think we have great leadership in basketball . . . .
And the, I'm guessing here, absolutely ZERO people that think we have great leadership in baseball right now.

Maybe it is the 100K that I gave to them twenty years ago for one of my children to go to school there ......... probably twice that now! But, she is still a Clemson sports fan ....... so not all was lost!

I’m trying to remember, but my daughter got in 5 years ago and I was really hoping that she would choose Clemson for both personal AND financial.
She made the right decision!!! ??????

This particular mixture intensifies a sense of desperation with anyone who is exposed to it for any duration of time. This type of desperation will manifest itself in sporadic bursts of heightened physical performance, but will always end in disappointment.

I've posted about this before because it was my soph year. Wake has 15K students now, we were truly "lil ol Clemson" back then with about 10K students. But we were kickin butt and taking names in all sports...
Football team went to a bowl for the first time in 20 years... Basketball team went 22-5 and was exciting to watch... this is how many points we scored in games: 133, 128, 120, 110, 110, 108, 104, 98, 98, 94, 94, 93, 93, etc... Baseball team went to College World Series... Soccer team ranked #1 in the nation most of the year... Other teams were nationally ranked like tennis, swimming, etc...
Probably the best overall year in all sports in Clemson history.

I will always remember them as the school that helped end one era and usher in the Dabo era.
