The ACC really needs to find a way to split into North/South

divisions even if it takes bringing in 2 more teams to the north so the 4 N.C. schools can all stay in the south division.
I think it would make the conference better creating more border and closer rivalries like CU/Miami and FSU/GT annually. IMO It would be a little fairer in the end too because you are more closely playing the same teams as your other division rivals each year.

North teams want to recruit in Fla, too.

I think it would be a tough sell to the league.

TV in Florida as well. Didn't bother Big East much and it seems like teams like Syracuse,Pitt, VT and BC were much better then.

Tell our recruiting coordinator that playing in Miami today

wasn't huge. Big difference between being on TV and being there in person. Clemson would love to be in Fla every year -- swap FSU and Miami every year.
But that is still not a fair arrangement for the northern teams. Too much talent there. Keeping Miami and FSU seperated solves that.

if we werent in same division as FSwho? Free Sneakers University.
ACC conference game would be a bigger draw for the conference as a whole.

FSU. I don't think you can form divisions based on who the best two teams are at one moment in history. They already made that mistake trying to form them around FSU and Miami. I wouldn't want to give up our annual game with FSU either with the hope we meet them in the ACCCG.

So we'd need a Mason-Swofford line...

sounds racist. I wouldn't mind some shake up but overall the ACC needs Miami and VT to become relevant once again. Its good to have Pitt and Duke playing well too.

Big East vs the old ACC with the South being WF,UNC,Duke,NCState,CU,GT and FSU.
I am not sure UVA would buy that because they may want to maintain their annual rivalries with the old guard ACC of the South.
I would like to see us playing UNC every year again. Love beating them in Football.

While I agree some better alignment would help

Does the ACC really need a Northern Champ like BC or Cuse at 5-7 facing a 12-0 0r so South team?

Splitting us obviously has appeal but I would hate to lose our annual game.

Or you could put the former Big East into their own division. It would be like old times. VT, Miami, BC, Pitt, Louisville, Syracuse all together again.
