Americans care out the issue of men in women’s sports. Another reason the democrats lost this election is because they were tone deaf to their constituents pushing trans rhetoric down their throats. Men playing in women’s sports was one of the most important things to me in this election. I have a young daughter and don’t ever want to see her forced to compete against a man in school sports.
The OP was asking about the logic of AOC and the democrats reasoning that blocking men from competing in women’s sports would somehow open the door to child predators, which is absolutely laughable. Before we started letting trannies compete against girls, everything was just fine.

I don’t care about percentages. 1 person is too many. It’s happened at the highschool level and in the NCAA. It’s unacceptable and prevalent to me. Maybe it isn’t to you. That’s fine. https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-news/americans-oppose-inclusion-trans-athletes-sports-poll-finds-rcna88940
The majority of Americans are against it. The Biden Administration’s interpretation of Title IX would allow transgender student athletes to participate in sports based on their gender identity with consideration for students’ age, level of competition and the individual sport’s status as a contact sport. Only 25 states have bans on it. If Kamala would’ve been elected who knows what she would’ve done. She has certainly been an advocate for “trans rights” in the past which is well documented. It’s like you still don’t understand why Trump won. Trans rights was definitely part of it. The left is tone deaf. So are you. Some democrats are finally realizing that.

The reality is that your daughter could compete in sports all the way through grade school and likely never once encounter a trans athlete anywhere in your school district. The statistics bear this out, but hey, be as alarmist as possible over things will, in all likelihood, have zero impact on you or your family.

Unarmed minorities being shot by the police happens an infinitesimally small number of times each year yet on the half a dozen or so times it does left wing kooks rush here to use it as proof of their warped world view. You don't hear any discussion of how unlikely anyone is to ever even know anyone who dies in this manner, much less have it impact them directly. Wonder why the sudden change of heart when deciding certain things are worth discussing but not others? Perhaps in lieu of any real defense the left has decided to shout down anyone who dares mention these things as imagining the entire phenomenon no matter how much evidence there is to the contrary.

Discuss it until you're blue in the face (which FOX and the right have been doing for a decade now).
Equating the relatively rare case an agent of the state executing a person with the relatively rare case of a female getting a second place instead of first place trophy is quite....telling.

but we are laughing at someone who said it was a top issue for them this election because they were gullible enough to believe Fox News that it’s a widespread problem. Men in women’s sports is just a boogeyman for MAGA, and the base is enraged by an issue they won’t ever encounter.

But I'm not for a blanket governmental ban, because a much more nuanced solution exists. Sports have governing bodies that already make rules about who can and can't take part based on any number of measurable metrics. Those with a vested interested in any given sport, those who know the sport best and care the most about how it's run should be responsible for making these rules.
But again, the fact that a bunch of people who couldn't give 2 ##### about women's sports are now pretending to champion them because of the current outrage of the month doesn't pass the sniff test.
This is the very definition of manufactured outrage.

Trump's torpedoing the federal government?
deeply trying to explore and understand my jounge bros, I googled "Trump torpedoes federal government"
funnily enough, this pops up first: https://youtu.be/B2CQDek7aNc?si=0hekXE5THZcwHmfv
I watched it to try and understand your indignance.
"This is them trying to dismantle the American system of government"
In
"The Green new Deal funding must stop"
In
Shutting down, school meals, home heating assistance, housing assistance, food stamps, WIC, Child Care, Head start, suicide hotlines, chile abuse investigations, rape crisis centers, medicaid
in, in, in, in, in, I get ZERO support for child care - in, in, in, child abuse investigations? cops?, in, in.
Now they're walking it back like a bunch of b!tches (celebrated by Maddow).
Bring it all to an absolute grinding halt. I'm so in on this, I had no idea they were doing this haha. Disgusting they're walking it back.
End quote is interesting: "We need Democrats to use every procedural maeuver to grind things to a stop and use every media tool to raise alarm and allow public pressure to build. (Hmm, this sounds January 6y).
"Shut down the Senate, refuse to allow them to steamroll, and take this fight to every town hall, courtroom, and news outlet. Shut it down." (Whoa....)
Ezra Levin - idk who that is.
I do agree with the notion that this is too much executive action. Need to get Congress moving doing what Americans voted for.
Fun exercise. Thank you for allowing me to participate.
This exercise has taught me the answer though. I believe you guys gather your information from the MSM outlets, including the boomers here screaming about FoxNews articles.
We don't need a torpedo for the US Government. We need a fuggin nuke.
This is a perfect segue into what I want next out of this Administration. Nuke the pharma ads from TV and let all these MSM f@ggots capture revenue without being backstopped by regulatory captured AND government inflated market verticals.

-Where is there some indication that "Dem voters are leaving the party"?
-This is mostly a silly non-issue, and yes, I agree men should not play in women's sports.
-The idea that sexual predators would take advantage of this bill is equally as ludicrous as y'all claiming dudes would go into single gender bathrooms to attack girls. Choose how ludicrous you think the former argument is, and that's how stupid the latter is. Same equivalence.

Jan 29, 2025, 5:19 PM

But if you are genuinely asking for the logic...
The reasoning of the argument (and again, I'm not saying I agree) is that once you boil down the differentiating factor between those who participate in different "divisions" of sports to what's between their legs, you necessarily must give access for someone to check.
Now then, that argument falls apart to me as I'd think a doctor and/or documentation from birth would likely be adequate (though we've seen this called into question in international sports where the athlete's biological sex at birth isn't believed).
