No it does. But the eye test questions extend to GA. How were they losing at the half to Scar? Ga Tech hung in a 1 score game with UGA? Auburn hung tight with UGA. How did New Mexico State best this same Auburn team 31-10 in Jordan Hare, the week before the iron bowl. UGA and Bama’s conference went 4-6 against the lowly ACC. Bama struggled more against their rival with 1st string qb than FSU struggled with Florida with 2nd and 3rd string qb’s. See how this eye test is working if ESPN had an ACC bias. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

Also consider the nature of the “almost lost top’s” you mention. What were the statistical odds that bama converts a 4th and 31 TD to win? Since we are using eye test do we count that as pure luck or skill of the better team? Very important distinction! Did FSU beat us on a Hail Mary? Or did they come from behind in a near impossible place to win? Did they need pure total luck to beat BC or did they play down to the competition and the better team stepped up to take it at the end? You have to be alert and spin, spin, spin for this eye test gig to work! Do you get it yet? 😉

Seems like NC State handed us a similar win by missing a makable FG but we still made the playoffs. Bama is not a top 4 team just because they beat UGA.
The CFPC got it wrong period.
