What Clemson should do to earn respect

Because the ACC, with only three teams in the top 20, and SU, Pitt, UNC, FSU and UM ranked or mentioned at various times as top 20 teams, is “no good,” Clemson should play “good” teams like ND or UGA or TAM or Auburn or maybe LSU now and then. And they should play bigger schools with more TV money to spend on Athletics, like SC. And maybe play powerhouses like Ohio State and Alabama once in a while, in a bowl game maybe. Or a big 12 team like Oklahoma. And maybe play for a national championship every now and then and even win two or three. And run a clean family oriented program and give even walk on players a chance to play, and make sure everybody has a chance to graduate and have a future when football is over. And put a few guys in the NFL. And do charity work and maybe go to church now and then. And let ESPN announcers’ kids be on the team or maybe other coaches’ kids or former players’ kids.
And be humble when we win and give credit to the other team when they play well. And when we lose, look for positives to build on and don’t complain about the refs or injuries or our own players.
And be transparent and honest in recruiting and wish players well when they change their minds or transfer to another team, even one in our own league that we have to play against.
And make sure our assistant coaches are people we stick with and promote and are well paid and that we have nice clean facilities paid for with mostly private donations instead of tax dollars.
Oh. We do all that? Well. No wonder nobody respects us.

Probably can't spell their name correctly...lots of poor spelling and droopy language on this site...we should have required more English at CCC! These folks have a fetish about Columbia and the Chicken Ranch and must bring it up at every opportunity! When the only answer you have is a stupid one then call the poster a 'COOT'...most folks just lock them in the bathroom crawl space and let them out in time for the football game...don't paint our TGC statue green or you'll eat Johnstone food that night and pee in a 5 gallon bucket!

I know the Coaches and AP poll do not mean anything with the CFP, however it does show disrespect among the coaches and media.
Like Dabo has always stated, winning isn't easy. If we beat a team by one point, we will fall in the polls. If Bama, UGA, OSU do the same they are praised.

Clemson does have respect from those who know football and how difficult it is to take a small school and turn it into a national powerhouse...and dabo has done it the right way..we will never get respect from those who have sold their soul to the liberal media...when dabo thanks GOD he drives a stake thru their heart...when our players kneel to pray before the game it gives them apoplexy! Good folks still respect us a lot...good folks here in Texas watch us and respect our play...that's why we still get national Tele almost every week..after all it is still About $.

Stupidest post I have read in a while. Who says no one respects us? Not reading or hearing about any disrespect. We are currently ranked 5th and have 3 National Championships. 2 of those were against the best your conference had to offer.
Do not understand your need to embarrass yourself with blatant ?. If you are not a coot you are sure as heck not a Clemson fan.
