As well as Chip and Joanna Gaines.
And they are Baptists.
Lots not to like. JK.

It’s in Waco. That’s where all their business is.

I watched them play host to Cincinnati in January in their new 7,500 seat arena. It was a packed house. They are very athletic and fed off a great home environment. Goes without saying they have a great coach and are on quite a run going back a few years. They know how to win. Like the announcer said at the end of our game I hope both teams play as good as they are capable of and the refs don’t interfere.

Great place for a rape and then blame the coach...after all he did recruit them and must not have investigated enough...what were the police doing? Whole campus was once in Independence, Texas...moved to Waco to get away from the Brazos river and close to the railroad!

All I have heard is they have superb guard play. Not sure how that correlates to what BB does defensively.

Baylor's greatest strength (outside of possibly their coach) is 3pt shooting. It's their MO. They get up plenty of shots with good spacing and start four guys who have range.
They're very balanced with all five starters averaging double digits but, not a very deep team. There are mainly 7 guys in the rotation only 6 may see double digit minutes. They've had a significant injury in the last couple weeks and the team is 2-2 without sixth man Langston Love (11pg, 48% 3PT). He is not expected to play in the tournament.
They have size throughout their lineup and a seasoned upperclassmen backcourt. They start two freshmen including their leading scorer and projected lottery pick, wing Jakobe Walters (14pg). Walters is talented but, like any freshmen can dissappear from games and go 1 for 8 like he did in the Big12 Tournament loss to Iowa State. He's a bit streaky as you can tell from his poor 37% FG rate.
The other freshman is 7'0" center Yves Missi (11pg) who's actually solidly consistent for a young big man. He's also been a much improved and reliable free throw shooter during the 2nd half of the season.
Senior F Jalen Bridges (12.2pg 5.7rp) is a 6-9 stretch that takes most of his shots from beyond the arc. He's scored 20 or more in three of his last five, including 32 (6-7 3PT & 10-13 FT) against Texas.
Senior Rjay Dennis a solid point guard (13 pg 7ag) who will play nearly every minute of the game- some of which may be due to their lack of guard depth. He's also prone to turning the ball over averaging close to 5 per game in last 7 and close to 4 per game this season.
Junior guard Jayden Nunn (10.7pg) is a 45% 3pt sharp shooter.

They beat us in the Peach Bowl back in the late 70's in Fulton County Stadium! The coldest football game I have ever attended. There were 4 couples together, all the women and one of the guys went back to the hotel in the 2nd quarter it was SO Cold! OH, yeah, they had a live Bear, and the "Tiger" was trying to play with him, and the Bear had to be pulled off our "Tiger"!

I was at that game. SC was warm the days before the game so we headed down to Georgia severely under dressed. We too almost froze to death.

I was there and yep, the coldest game I have ever been to. The wind whipping through the portal sat Fulton County were like Arctic blasts. At the end of the game with a ever so slight chance to come back, Billy Lott threw the ball to the sideline on a snap to stop the clock. Maybe in the first time in college football, they called intentional grounding, when it was obvious the intent was to stop the clock and the penalty killed us. Brutal day!

I had no opinion of Baylor growing up until they beat the Tigers in the 1979 Peach Bowl and now I can stand them. Go Tigers!

But so is Clemson. If they play all-around ball, they beat Baylor.
