I think we beat the coots, but I don't see it being a blowout.

There have been several teams we were supposed to blowout. Troy, NC State, and even Pitt. Last year, like this year, we were and are heads and shoulders better than the coots. Yet last year they played really hard to keep us out of the championship game and kept the game really close. I see the same thing happening this year. We overcame turnovers last year, we need to play clean this year. I don't see a blowout. I hope I'm wrong. Tigers win by 7. What say you?

If we don't turn the call over ( that's a big IF), then it most certainly will be a blowout of 25+ points.

SCSt, BC, Syracuse, and beat GaTech 26-7 & Wake 35-13.....but they certainly made some games far too close with turnovers, drops, and penalties

The key is turnovers. Can't have any red zone T O. Bentley is for real. Hate to say that but he has a couple young playmakers in samuels and Edwards. Key is we should be able to get pressure. Confuse bent with blitzs.Tight end Hearst is a baller. We should be able to run. 34-17. Maybe they score a late TD after Dabo pulls starters. Personally I'd like to see hammer down the whole time. 70-15. Something of that flavor.

Bentley is for real ? Against who ? His stats are incredibly average , and that is against a weak schedule since he has been inserted .

Bill I don't think they get that many points on our defense . They can't run the ball and they're passing game is anemic if they aren't keeping teams honest with the run . I think they are lucky to get 17 .

He only completed 55% of his passes and threw an interception against UF.
Sure, he's looked decent against the rest of their opponents, but look at where those defenses are ranked.

The Tigers are playing at DV in the senior's last home game. The night crowd will be loud and proud. We have not played to our potential so I expect a complete contest.

UF is #5 defense in S&P

We are #6. I can't tell how we compare to UF because of the atrocious offenses in the East. They seem to be fundamentally sound against the pass and the run, whereas we've actually had some issues with run D this year (#33 rush defense). Who knows how that stacks up if you had them face Louisville and FSU.
I do suspect they do a better job getting off the field on running downs, but it looks like we also feast more often.

I Don't Think The Cootz Can Score More Than 17

I Think We Score 31+ If we play like we played in Q1 of Wake game Clemson wins by 35+. If we turn ball over a bunch and get penalties we win by 7-10.

It took us playing our worst game of the season and turning

over the ball more than we had been all season to keep them close enough to score a garbage time TD to make the score look better for them. The game was never in doubt. You bring up NC state, Pitt and even Troy like they're as bad as the coots this year. If we only win by 7 I would expect 4 or more turnovers but I don't see that happening at all. I'll never understand why some of our fans are terrified of USuCk. This is one of the worst teams we will see all year. Syracuse worried me more than this matchup because their offense was actually good. We match up extremely well with them in every way.

Agree. Over matched at just about every skill position and deeper. Watson's last show to shine in Death Valley, big score by the Tigers.

It is the last time DW runs down the Hill....and he knows it. DW will be dialed in like never before. Tigers deliver a devastating victory and roll to Orlando.
Sorry Coots. Wrong place wrong time.

We should manage 30+ points, and hold then to about 20. Still I want it comfortably out of reach by the start of the 4th. We need to be clicking on all 8 cylinders for what is ahead.

You are not going to get many blowouts with this group. The coaches are playing the long game and trying to keep starters healthy for a 15 game season. Until we have to fight for a playoff spot with style points, the smart play is to pull starters as early as possible.

Great feedback from all. I do want to address The Hillbilly Beater's statement,'I'll never understand why some of our fans are terrified of USuCk.' I can't speak for all, but I have been a fan for more than four decades. A coot's mindset has always been, their whole season can be salvaged by one victory. They play their hardest and with the most determination when they play us. With that said, I see what most are saying on here as well. Our talent vs. theirs is just too much. Still, I hope we don't take the foot off of the gas, no matter the score, until at least the 4th quarter.
