This is donny at Bama's graduation talking about olympic weightlifting. All you MAGA idiots who dragged Tim Walz for having trouble loading a shotgun and called him a "soy boy"; what do you think of this pansy?

Speaking of Walz I just want to thank his brilliant daughter Hope. I’m an avid runner and she says running is only for people of privilege. I didn’t realize that. I thought anyone who could tie the shoes and move both legs could try it. How wrong could I have been not to recognize my privilege. Thank you Hope. You are so inspiring.

I run 5 to 6 miles at 0500. I’m a landscaper by trade. I have a farm to take care of when the work day is over. Want to come hang out and talk to me about physical labor? I would love that !!

I do my own landscaping. I can afford to pay someone for a service I can do myself, but I choose not to. I do my own plumbing, painting, and electrical work (from breaker box to house) too. And most of the time, I get the proper inspections. I did my own minor hvac maintenance until I changed to a 410a system, but my epa certificate covers it if I need to.

Pretty sure given the ages of the people on this board, most of them grew up working kind of a physical labor as a kid. Nobody is special for it.
Nobody cares about how far you can run. I could tell you that I beat all the Kenyans in the Bridge Run this year but that don't make it ####### so (and it wasn't; I slept in).

I see that you don’t know many people who do physical jobs. HVAC installers & service people. Plumbers, electricians, construction workers.
Living a prissy life and listening to NPR droning on about their views (which, BTW, are also prissy views) about working class people who do physical jobs does not bequeath ‘expert on the lifestyle of working class people’ status.
Dipsheet Hope Walz, arguably possessed of higher T than her phony ‘tough guy’ father, appears to possess similar expertise to you re understanding of societal priviledge and exercise.

Of course you didn’t understand the point. The point is that many laborers do not have the time to run recreationally. The jobs you listed are not “laborers” in the general meaning of unskilled workers, they are skilled trade workers who all need a lot of training and knowledge to do their jobs well. Except maybe the entry level construction workers before they move into a particular craft. People picking fruit and vegetables from sunrise to sunset don’t have the time to run for amusement. I’m certain Tim could make you eat your own feces if he was that kind of person (in other words, a typical Trumper).

OK, I concede.
Your statement (quote) “She said running was a privilege, for people who have the time, space, shoes, etc, and otherwise aren’t exhausted from physical labor.”
You spoke of people who otherwise weren’t EXHAUSTED from physical labor.
On any given day, a person who does physical labor might be exhausted. Those people, on those ‘I’m exhausted’ days, may choose to not engage in additional exercise after their work day is done.
However, there are ‘privileged people’ who have commonly have very long days at work. These priviledged working people are known as private sector white collar workers. Not uncommonly, after their 16 hour workday, they don’t exercise. Thus, these are not really priviledged people.
Even government workers, employees of NGOs, public sector workers whose employer gets a significant part of their funds from the government (school teachers & administrators, university professors & administrators) have on rare occassions very long workdays. In your world, since these people don’t always have the after-work energy to exercise, they too are not really priviledged.
When backing out all of the under priviledged people, it looks like Hope Walz is among the extremely rare ‘priviledged’ people.
Point well taken.

Try substituting luxury for privilege and maybe you will understand. Many physicians and nurses don't have time to exercise recreationally. The physicians have shorter life expectancies, but that’s mostly stress. There’s nuance in saying you are a person of privilege versus saying you had the privilege of eating a shyt sandwich direct from Donald Trump. Think about it. Then think about it some more.

That d-head just overreacted and intentionally misrepresented what she said. If you have time to run for exercise, it means you live a pretty easy life and more than half of the time earned it. It's a f*cking fact, for any MAGA moron who wants to argue about it.

Out comes a MAGA moron to argue. The moron doesn’t understand the point at all. Having the free time to exercise recreationally means you have an easy life. Many laborers don’t need or have time for that and are usually in better shape. I have an easier life than most MAGA morons, but 99.999% of them wouldn’t be able to do my work.

He has freakishly short thumbs compared to the rest of his hand, so he would probably have trouble with the grip. Notice how he always overcompensates by using two hands in a handshake to pull people close to him? It's 79 years of insecurity. It's still bizarre that he chose to give Tussaud's an actual hand impression.

As per the comments of a person who has become incapable of recognizing fun
May 4, 2025, 11:42 PM
|
|
Man, you live a sad life.
So immersed within your political obsessions that you can’t recognize when your ‘enemy’ is having a bit of fun. Even worse is your misery when the people in the presence of your ‘enemy’ are having fun with him. Worst of all is that the people in the crowd were not paid by your ‘enemy’ to be there and pretend to be having fun.
The next time that Low-T Walz has real fun in a large venue public event will be the first such time since being Kamala’s VP pick. Low-T is not authentic. His attempts at appearing ‘joyous’ anre strained. Painful to watch. only people who cannot see that are the TDSers. Low-T better enjoy the last two years as governor. He’ll lose the next guv election, and won’t get the nod from Dem party to run for Senate.
