OU quarterback enters and exits portal in one day, leaving OU for Oregon. Move along, nothing to see here. No possibility of tampering. He just happens to make quick decisions.
College football has become the very embodiment of corruption. Not that it was ever innocent. There has always been a certain degree of corruption, but at least there were some reigns kept on it. No longer. So, now it is either join in the corruption or fade into mediocrity. Tough choice.

The new bagman. It’s sickening. Imagine what these schools would have been offering Trevor after his freshman year.

He just happened to have Dan Lannings number on speed dial. Curious how they connect so quickly? Think Lanning would give you his cell or take your call? Not a chance.

Maybe, but this wasn't some kind of huge decision process that needed to happen. Bo Nix is done and it's a reload for Oregon.

@ttiger7781 I concur.
Specific to Dillon Gabriel - he started at UCF > Oklahoma > Oregon!
No illusion of "getting an education" as my biggest pursuit going on there. Which to me is the essence of "amateur/college football"!
I don't disagree with the portal or N.I.L - I do disagree vehamently with tampering however!
A little known thing in "PRO" sports is the tampering rule. You can't have "free agency" without some structure around it. Otherwise the schools like Wake will keep doing a great job of developing players only to lose them to "money"!
Now, how do you evaluate how good of a job that coach is doing? Or any coach who takes a 3-star and develops them into a household name. Think Jared Verse(Albany) or Kalil Mack(Buffalo).
Not a great look is all; I get what you are getting at 100%.

meh, still want a 'wait one year clause' upon a transfer unless you are a grad student. That way the NIL collectives have to pay for at least two years with one being a total freebie for the athlete.

I agree. You can transfer - but, "you have to wait"! If not an entire season - "half a season"! As a "DETERRENT" to someone looking for instant gratification. If it's worth it to you and you plan on being at that school for a long time - take the deal and play half a season. Then get ready for your "full year or years moving forward"!
The idea of a education is going out the window. Many college athletes "actually used the system for what it's worth to them after their playing days are behind them". I know for fact(myself, my brother and cousins) leveraged it. None of us were top-tier FBS; but we played college ball and got our degree and now use that education.
If kids aren't careful; they will out on a golden opportunity to get ahead in "LIFE". Forget football or basketball - which could be taken away in "a play". Get your education.

Wrong again. Maybe he just loves green, uniforms that is. Seriously do you think a 5th year Senior is incapable of making a decision plus he will be around far more people from Hawaii at Oregon.

Well, my opinion is, if Oregon could make a STAR out of Bo Nix, then the Sky is the Limit for Gabriel out there.

The SEC has been corrupt for decades. That is why I don't want us to go there. We would have to deal with that corruption every day.
