Was complete stupidity to hire 2 learn as you go coordinators

When we had a team primed for the CFP. If we were building our program, I would get it. But we had the freakin pieces but we handicapped our own team by hiring 2 inexperienced coordinators! Absolutely no excuse why we aren't in the CFP. Dabos ego is the only reason that prevented that. PERIOD!

They fit the culture, and that’s all that really matters.

Spiller Grisham Hall Conn Richardson Austin Wes
Streeter could not get another WB coach job based on his body of work from 2015-2020. Thats a powerful statement for a guy that gets promoted.
The co-coordinator label is intended to reward an up-and-coming coach but have an experienced guy behind him. See Steele at Alabama with Kirby as his co-guy. Conn is no Steele. On offense, I don’t know who the experienced one is supposed to be, Streeter or Richardson; both suck.

Based of the 2021 season?

The offense doesn't look any different than it did last year. I would imagine the causal fans of college football would think it's the same coach calling the same plays as last year. I'm certain opposing coaches see that.

It doesn’t look any different than 2019 and 2020…

Except then you had Trevor and Travis who made Dabo’s plain Jane offense look like they could beat most pro teams. The only change in our offense has been we’ve gone from having a handful of great players (Trevor, Travis, Higgins, etc.) to having only good players.
The players we had a couple of years ago came in ready to play. They didn’t need to be developed, they just didn’t need somebody screwing them up. The players we have now are good, but they need development. It’s at this point we’re seeing that we don’t have the staff in place to do that.
However, with all that being said, nothing will change until it eventually starts to impact the bottom line.

I would say the offense is vastly improved over last year but it's still not good enough to compete for the playoff or put fear into the opponent.
