Didn’t it ever occur to you that Dabo is smarter than he sounds?

He is constantly recruiting. Why would he give anything OTHER THAN praise about any of his players when talking to the media? Do you think recruits want to hear a coach throw his guys under the bus? Yes, perhaps Dabo could take a little more responsibility on the coaching side of things, but I don’t fault him for having the backs of his players. I truly believe he knows exactly what he is doing, and everything is calculated.
He’s gotten us further than I could have ever imagined lil ‘ole Clemson could get. I even got to witness the 2015 National Championship in person. I’m once again on the Dabo-train and will trust the man can get us back to the top in the seasons to come.

Yes. It also occurred to me he completely fubarred the QB position this year.

Without throwing anybody under the bus. I mean the product on the field was obvious, all he needed to say was “we just needed to make a change”.
I love Dabo but sometimes he needs to keep his responses simple.

It’s just as important to keep the team camaraderie intact as it is to play the right players. It’s for sure a juggling act, and I’d wager that Dabo knows what he’s doing.
Handing the torch from one player to the next isn’t as simple as it sounds. You also have to keep the locker room together.

If he played CK week 1, we would be undefeated and cruising to the playoff, and likely another NC, so no.
Reminder, this was Cade cold off the bench, not getting all the 1 reps in practice…13 weeks of that…look out.

I doubt that immediate switch to start the season would have had good optics in the locker room.
