Fascinating interview with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik. The man is a genius. He is adamant that he and Elon are going to balance the budget and have Trump cut the income tax for everyone making less than $150,000 a year.

That is the goal of tariffs and Doge.

This is worth your time to listen if you are interested in hearing a common sense business approach to the economy and the deficit spending.

If the goal is to just shift taxing middle class and lower with tariffs in lieu of income taxes, why the push to extend the Trump tax cuts instead of a new plan to cut taxes on those making $150k and less in proportion to the rise in tariffs.

I would not describe him as a genius, at least when it comes to economic policy. There are other words that come to mind.
