Question for those of you who expect to beat Georgia in football

Why is that? What is that based on?
Georgia is one of the best football programs of all time. They have won multiple national championships and SEC championships. They played for the national championship very recently. They are one of the best teams in the nation again this year. They recruit at a very high level. They are a football school through and through.
I want to beat them as bad as anyone here. I’m super disappointed that we will lose. There are certainly things we can do better. But honestly, we aren’t supposed to beat Georgia in football.
Why? Because we are the antithesis of them when it comes to football. We don’t prioritize our program. As a result, we have far less football success than they do.
Now, I’d love to get to the point as a program where we beat them regularly. But if we want to do that, we need to do what I’ve been harping on for years: spend more on the program and support it better. And we need to be prepared to do that for many years to have the kind of success they have had.
If you aren’t willing to do these things, and go “all in” on football, you really aren’t interested being one of the best football programs in the country.
See how ridiculous it sounds? I can't even say it with a straight face. Anyways, go Tigers!

DJU almost beat the best UGA team of all time… I think an improved offense with new weapons can easily win 20-17.

Way too early to predict, given that there may be important players coming and going for both teams, injuries during spring and fall practices, how freshmen will play, etc. I do think Georgia is certainly the favorite right now, but so what? Sometimes the dogs beat the dawgs.

To put a wrinkle in your answer, Kirby and UGA lacked confidence in the opener. (And damm, it was a rough game to watch even from the 45 yd line.) And UGA peaked after starter JT Daniels was benched for Stetson Bennett mid-season.
I hope you're right and Luke develops the right guys at OL, and Riley, Luke and Klubnik right the ship on Offense. More optimistic on Defense if DB's can get right. Some INT's will help. "Easily win" at 20-17 sounds real good to me.

I don’t take them lightly. If Cade plays the opener like this year we will look like FSU. My opinion is we catch them early and are much improved on the o line and have a couple weapons that catch them off guard. They will approach the game to stop the run game, as they should, and I think we will run heavy but might catch them off guard a couple times with our new weapons… we shall see.

I think if we shut the run game down I don't think their qb is all that and I'm not sure they have the best wrs in the world. It's going to be hard to move the ball on them but let's not act like UGA looked like they did against FSUs 3rd string all year long.

If this game is already a loss in your mind then don't watch. On paper any supposedly stronger team is thought to win every time. But, it is still a game of 11 guys against 11 guys. How many times has there been upsets? In college football there is still emotion, the will to win, players playing beyond what was thought to be their expectations. This is the beauty why you play the game on the field and not on paper. To assume this game is already a loss is like being scared of facing every day trials. Buck up, Man up and bring your A game every time. Go Tigers and whoop Georgia's ###. Nobody here afraid of any dogs.
