tickets 4 weeks in a row hoping I'll be that 1 in 279 million that never has to work again. In the Turks and Caicos.
I didn't match ONE number on any of the 12 Powerball draws I had. Not. one. number.
I got to thinking...what are the odds of THAT happening?
So I asked chatgpt (Because I'm not relearning 2 semesters of statistics to figure out a 3-beer induced letdown) what are the odds of not matching 1 number of 12 draws over a 4 week timeframe. I had to put in all the parameters of the 1-69 numbers and whatever the Powerball reqs are, and after a bunch of number crunching, it said there is about a 27% chance that I wouldn't match any numbers.
I think that's a bunch of crap, and as always, AI is usually wrong the first 20x you ask it something. I did it 12x in a row. if it were 27% and truly discrete, I should have had 1 number hit at least twice.
