Furman went 6-5 in 2021 including 4-4 in Southern Conference play. Clay Hendrix is in his sixth year as the Paladins' head coach.
Furman could be better than what the record was last season. Many games were close wins and losses. I would expect younger Paladins from last season to break out this season in Southern Conference play. If Furman can get six or seven wins in SoCon play, I will have greater confidence with Clay Hendrix's program.
Furman is not up to the playing level of Clemson. It will be solid orange over purple power at the end of Saturday.
