SIL is mad at me.
The only pole saw we had that could reach the branches we needed to reach around the tree stands is the same one that my brother in law (her husband) was using when he died. Pole saw got to close to high power lines and killed him instantly.
Her son was using said pole saw Saturday helping us. We didn't tell him that's who's pole saw it was. She knew. Now she's mad.

I think it was just bringing back up some bad memories.
But man, what a pole saw to take tens of thousands of volts and still run like a top.

Now onto the SIL - do you really care that she is mad? Does your wife share your SIL's position in this matter and is making the home-life more miserable than usual?

yes. most definitely in the wrong. Was she mad that ya'll decided to keep the pole saw in the first place? I'd have left that saw right where it was. Eff that family killing saw.
