It was Cole Stoudt, he was made to run plays designed for DW4 and failed at it. He lost his job, and stayed on the team. DW couldn’t play the bowl and with plays designed for his skill set , he lite up the Oklahoma defense. Not one complaint from Cole Stoudt. In one game he changed my mind about him. Being beat out is part of football. I don’t hear Feaster crying or Adam Choice. It’s maturity. Bottom line. GO TIGERS!!!!!

I wonder if it's a reference -- not about the coaches --

Give the young man some time, some room, and some grace.

Is it fair to say that TL earned his playing time. It's like last week all the so called football experts said the J.D. Davis shouldn't be starting over a 5* recruit. That CDS only gave him and his brother a scholarship because of their dad. Well most of those guys are eating crow this week after JD finish the game with the most tackles. CDS is going to paly the ones that deserve to play. It just happens that TL and KB were really close to begin the season and TL overtook KB this past week. If most recall TL was coming in on the 4th possession the first game and then the 3rd possession the other 3 games. Had TL been given a promise to play wouldn't you have thought that he would have played more in the second half of the TAMU game. Seeing as KB couldn't muster up but 2 first downs the entire 4th quarter. I'm not faulting that on KB as much as I am with the coaches but after the second score of the second half the offense went completely dormant. It has nothing to do with any promises. It has everything to do with production while on the field. When TL was in at QB the offense has a significant more percentage wise of scoring than when KB was on the field. This became obvious last week in which KB accounted for 1 TD in 4 possession while TL accounted for 5 TD's in 6 possessions.

that's where it came from. We have been known to make some silly promises to recruits to get them to come play here. Remember that runningback that fumbled the first play of the game in the kickoff classic or whatever a few years ago? He was promised he would start the game when he was being recruited.

If you listen to the coaches, they tell all the recruits that they aren’t entitled & will have the chance to come in & compete. They don’t guarantee anything. The only thing remotely close to a promise is that they say they feel certain players can come in & help us early. Every recruit usually gives this same spill as what they hear.

Welcome, I see we have someone that is visually impaired.
That is ridiculous, or whatever word I just spelled!
Dabo NEVER made that Promise and TL does NOT need to be promised that! Nothing about TL, that I have heard or seen, says that he is privileged. He has confidence in his abilities and trusted the coaches with who needed to play and When!

I can't say what was promised to TL, I would suspect though that TL got the starting position after Dabo and coaches grew tired of 4/5 strait 3 and out series and TL came in and threw a TD. Gets pulled and after another series or two of 3 and out TL comes back in and scores again. Just a theory though.
