Of the players bashing fans who are a little upset with our recent troubles?
I have not personally said anything negatively about Sammy or Bellamy's situation and I am not saying its ok to bash a kid who is having trouble. But the fans they are so disappointed in are the fans that fill seats and donate to pay for their schollies.
My personal view is the players play for Clemson, not the other way around. Fans will whine and thats a part of sports. But maybe a little less time on social media and a little more time hitting the books will keep these situations from occurring.
Bash away.

I'm sure the players get tired of some fans bashing them all the time. And I'm not just talking about the Sammy/Bellamy stuff.

i generally just bash the coaches
after all...they are getting PAID...and handsomely
players are Clemson students...will always support them

I also hope the best for everyone but if I ever seen someone do it to their self it's this kid...Is people quick to forget the pouting, saying he could get more playing time elsewhere and get caught with pot, and getting sent home from the ACCCG ?

Bashing kids isn't a good thing fan or not. But on the Right. Most of us have been with our team all of our lives. And have spent two tons of money doing so. That said, I think the Clemson fan has the bigger Right to complain. But we should never bash our school, team, or players.

The students/players have just as much free speech as you and I do...
Tired of it? Don't listen. Just like if you don't want to say 'under God' in the Pledge, DON'T! Or if you want to say 'Merry Christmas' instead of 'Happy Holidays,' SAY IT!

When I was at Tiger town (over 50 years ago) we had tutors in every subject to help an athlete who was having trouble with academics. Where was the help for Mike? I'm sure someone was watching his Grade Point Average,attendance.etc. How can an athlete flunk out taking the minimal load that is now required? I believe that after he screwed up he was considered a recruiting mistake and was left to sink or swim on his own. Too bad since he is a kid from a non - supportive background who needed help. Where's that "ALL IN" support?

He still had to write his own papers and take his own tests. What are you trying to say? Sure the support was there. He still had to commit himself to his classes.

Some on here blame the university for not helping MB enough. I think that is bull! Why would the uni. not help an athlete with his type of talent? Some people are self destructive and sabotage their own success. I've seen it lots of times in my life. We all know good people who make bad decisions. Stop blaming CU, we have a long track record at CU for doing the right thing by athletes. Good luck Mike wherever you go!
