If you can drink a beer and/or smoke while playing, it’s a game and not a sport. Examples: golf, bowling, billiards, fishing.

I would say golf is a sport. I’ve known tons of great athletes that can’t move in the way you need to to strike the ball well and with authority.

Now playing golf in those lady's shoes would make it a special sport but IMO golf is a sport. My definition of a sport is that it's a competitive game that requires special skills to compete at a high level.
NASCAR, maybe or maybe not. What do you think about rodeo? I say yes.

I generally agree with this assessment. If you can drink and be good at, it is not a sport. Add darts, cornhole, and bocce, which all have professional leagues.
The exception is, I knew a Russian guy who would drink and smoke during tennis matches and clobber everybody he played. He was a 5.0 USTA rated player and was hammered every time he played. I can only imagine how good he would have been if he was wasn't a drunk.
