Irony at Dollywood

Jun 29, 2021, 7:18 AM

Last week my daughter and her family were at Dollywood for a day. They were waiting for some ride and this young man who plays OL at a major college could not ride a certain ride because his chest was too large for the safety harness to close. I wonder if they would treat the boss that way. (True story)

Wouldn’t have to - the boss’s chest is down around her lap, not where the safety harness hits.

Not nice or funny but that's OK because she is having the last laugh.......all the way to the bank! lol.

Clearly you aren’t familiar with implants!

She may have had them removed now that she is older, but she used to be very open about the fact that she had her natural breasts , which were already big, artificially enhanced!

Given that having large breasts is part of her brand, they were also tax deductible. The same for strippers and #### stars!

Dolly and her husband also had a non-traditional marriage and she is very into corsets. Dolly is a kinky girl, but she has been very successful at selling that wholesome image.

Favorite Dolly sayings "If I see something sagging, bagging and dragging I'm goin to have it nipped, tucked and sucked" and "It costs a lot of money to look this cheap"

We left after 30 minutes the only time I was there after finding out that they didn’t sell beer. My nephew cried the whole drive home.

Can’t believe a college football player would hang out there.

Your nephew cried because they don’t sell beer?

Nephew cried because we left before he could ride the coasters. He was probably only 10 years old at the time. A couple of years before beer drinking age, haha.

So you took a 10 year old kid to a kids amusement park for a day of fun and because you couldn’t get a beer you ripped him away after 30 minutes of seeing all the fun and not letting him ride anything?

What a DlCK move.

I happen to be his favorite half uncle who took him camping a few years later when he saw his first pair of fun bags. Who’s the #### now?

And then you go and do something like that!!

An adult, at a kids amusement park with a child, throws a temper tantrum because he can’t get drunk at the park and makes the child leave?

Sigh. What a horrible excuse for an adult.

My brother (technically half brother) was in pretty bad shape back then. He’s off the bottle now. If he was to do it all over again, he’d take a couple 50mg gummies and be a lot of fun at the park. The nephew on the other hand. He’s a handful now!

You can rationalize and justify all you want. You still were a selfish self absorbed ######!

You say tomato, I say potato. I wasn’t the one to make the decision to leave. Even if I was, you don’t think it is at least a little bit selfish and self absorbed for the kid to expect us to walk around all day listening to a bunch of other screaming kids without a sixer or two?

Is my sarcasm meter broke?

Kids are normally selfish and self absorbed…y’know, they’re kids. Adults are not supposed to be, at least when it comes to raising children.

If you can’t enjoy a day at a park with your nephew without drinking, you may have a real problem.

Another irony that I have been seeing at Dollywood is that there are more fans sporting Clemson gear than Vawls gear. I think I get/give more "Go Tigers!" there than the last time we went to Disney. My how times have changed.

I believe they changed the fight song from
"Rocky Top"- to "wish upon a star"or was it "Somewhere over the Rainbow"?
