Ironically, the Hemenway injury has led to a better lineup

Hear me out: It's definitely led to BB using his bench more effectively, or at a minimum has led to a better rotation. Dylan Hunter played a lot of minutes. Godfrey came in and makes some great plays also--particularly that pass for the open 3. Beadle played great defense in the 1st half. All of this led to a better rotation---This is the way.

Also: Middlebrooks was a huge physical presence around the basket, made FT's and had some great rebounds. This allowed PJ to sit for nearly 10 minutes in the 2nd half. That was critical.

And Scheff---wow. He just gets better and better as the season progresses.

I'm guessing we will wind up somewhere between 48-50 in NET after the dust settles from last night's games. A win tonight most definitely secures our ticket to the NCAA's but IMO, we punched our ticket last night.

Screw Calford.

Definitely has. Seemed like Brownell was forcing pt Hemenway out of loyalty. Without his injuries I think he may have taken another step, but he was just a liability on both ends of the court when he was in this year.

I think we've played worse since Hemenway came back.

Not his fault but trying to work him back into the lineup broke things.

Middlebrook was effective last night because the refs weren't calling fouls on either team.

That helped their big guy but it also helped us.

Good point. Sometimes it happens as you state … and this is very possibly one of those times.

In 1971 Elgin Baylor retired. The Lakers immediately went on a 33-game winning streak.
