Interviewing an admitted Ohio State fan

So we have a candidate coming in this week who admitted to being an Ohio State fan during the phone interview but was otherwise a great potential fit for us. He did say that he was obviously no threat to a Clemson guy, plus he's a Navy combat veteran, so he's got that going for him. Still, do I ask him if he knew that Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, and the last contestant voted off of American Idol are all tied with the Big 10 Conference for total points scored in the College Football Playoffs for the past three years?

I agree. There is nothing he can up you on. Hire the veteran but make him say " I love those Clemson Tigers".

We had a good laugh about it during the phone interview, and I thought it might be worth a chuckle or two here. After what this guy has done and been through, if he can help us make sure our guys can go through that moving forward and come back in one piece and whole then I don't care who he pulls for come football season.
