But the article does sound like it's driven by bitterness. If Pitt was one of the 7/8 teams attempting to leave he would probably be singing a different tune.

Thought this was also ironic coming from a Pitt fan. “ That’s why all of these schools, especially the delusional ones like NC State and Virginia, should focus on fixing the problem and getting a better TV deal with more money. And it wouldn’t hurt to that end if they would all fix their football programs to make the conference better and more attractive.”

Pitt has just two (2) seasons with double digit wins since 1982 (2009 and 2021).
