How much of this impacted the game last night?
Will it impact things moving forward?
Wouldn't it be nice if Coach came out and hammered this thing down by saying he isn't leaving. These players, the program, and the faithful are owed that much.

We are owed that much because we have all been so supportive of coach win or lose?

That's just not how the modern coaching search/turnover/new hire thing works. Yes it would be nice , but too many other factors now determine it , not just a yay or a nay from Brownell. For my 2 cent , I think Brownell is staying put. Call it a hunch .

I agree. He likes Clemson and has worked hard to get it to this point. Now that the program is strong I see him continuing that rather than leaving. Indiana isnt the job or program it was when bob kniht left.

I just read a CBB thread on a Hoosiers message board about their next coaching hire. Seems Brad is a popular topic up there. Many are saying it be a "safe Indiana type" hire but many posts are not happy he is even a candidate. If they want someone to inject energy into their program most threads thinks Brad would do nothing for their fanbase other than it was obvious 17 other guys said NO.
Personally at age 56 I feel that is a lot of grief to take on living under Bobby Knight's shadow along with the obvious crappy winter weather.
If CBB does take that job I'm going to a bit -issed off as for years I thought Pat Kelsey was the best possible person to be successful at Clemson and now he's at a league rival and was named ACC Coach of the Year.

In today's coaching world dominated by agents, you're rarely, if ever, going to hear a coach come out and put coaching rumors to rest right away. Even if Brad is 100% committed to staying at Clemson, it's beneficial for him to publicly leave his options open so that he can let his agent negotiate a better contract for him. Even Dabo didn't shut down the Alabama rumors right away and it's all for the same reason.

Zero impact. Coach B answered the question and moved on. That is the farthest thing from the players minds, especially the seniors playing their last year.

CBB had an opportunity to do that and, for whatever reason, he didn't...

LOL. In today's world of move along transfers are players really that attached to head coaches anymore?
