But it would've been better had they beaten BC and the other teams they play. They couldn't beat BC with Rowe, and they're probably not going to beat many other teams without him.

I don't think it does us a lot of good to fall into an ACC Championship. If both Clemson and FSU win out, I think Clemson actually ends up ranked higher than they would've because of the SOS. If we can't win the MNC this year, and the only way we can even play in the ACCC is for us to hurt our SOS and thus the perception of how good we are, then I would rather FSU just go ahead and win out and us end up in the Sugar Bowl. Even the Peach Bowl would be a better matchup than the Orange Bowl, and winning either of those games would propel Clemson into a top 5 preseason ranking next year.

Yeah it is looking like Boise State is going to await the ACC champ anyway. We can get a better game than that in the Peach.
