But please know…
100 base hits would be way better than hitting it over the wall 10 times and striking out the rest of the time.
Go Tigers!!

Agreed. Manufacturing runs with good hitting always works. The number of strikeouts, down the stretch, was a problem. Of course, without pitching, none of this matters

We need a new pitching coach……I don’t understand why we haven’t made a move on this front. Our current “pitching strategy” is ludicrous and will not cut it…….⚾️⚾️⚾️

Power is what today's baseball seems to be the name of the game, but how many times did we strike out, either swinging on bad pitches or being called out with ROB. Seems that there were more times than not this year when we left MOB and often with the bases loaded. Hit the home run and you score a run, get men on base and then hit the home run, now we're talking. Not sure who the hitting coach is, but that is an area I would like to see improved...see the ball...hit the ball!

In the home run clip he smashes a pitch that is probably not a strike.

That us something we didn’t have last year. I guy that can take any pitch out of the park. I get the feeling we will not be complaining about him watching strikes go by.

I can live with one guy being a high risk-high reward type hitter, the problem last year is we had too many: Paino, Jarrell, Priest, and Ciufo to an extent. Between the 4 of them, almost 40% of their ABs ended in a strikeout or a homerun, not good if they all go cold at the same time. While it looks like Bakich is going for more power with transfers, guys like Clavon and Lichtenberger are more contact-oriented guys, leading me to believe that putting the ball in play is a distinct focus this year. Lichtenberger alone put the ball in play in 78% of his plate appearances.
