The last 13 years have been rough and I’d like a mulligan

Dec 12, 2022, 12:01 AM

We just didn’t have it. We couldn’t hit shots, we couldn’t get stops, and we couldn’t get into a rhythm.

I suppose we were due for a 13 year streak like this, but it still stinks.

We need to regroup. We must improve our defense. That’s going to hurt us moving forward if we don’t fix it. We can’t expect to hit 50% of our threes every game (although if we had shot 40% on threes tonight we would’ve won).

Give credit to every team we’ve played in the last 13 years. They’ve played great. Excellent job by their fans too. They outnumbered ours at least 2:1. They were loud, they cheered a lot. and even brought their band (we didn’t).

We will get better. This was rough though.

You sound just like Francis Marion with your plagiarism.

Are you one of his scoks?

Not sure what a scoks is but I’m pretty sure I’m not one… I just saw a chance to have a little fun with your post

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

What is an scok?

I've seen that term around here. What does it mean?

Judge, what’s a scok?

Can get in the way of a competitive game.

Eventually Brad & Judge Keller must go..

Dec 12, 2022, 12:24 AM

but probably won't happen for another 12 years and I'll not see it since 81.5 now.

Ha..who cares anyway about great basketball at a super football school.

I’m mean I care about basketball… One of my favorite memories as a student was when we beat Duke 74 - 47… we camped out in the cold for tickets and the game was an absolute blast!!!

But it’s just so hard (almost impossible) at this point to give a crap since I find I’m just waiting for the let down - - - Some examples are last season’s loss to BC… we were up by 20 and this ended our tournament hopes, our NIT loss to Oakland… we were up by 20 and lost to an inferior team, and our last minute loss to NC state in ‘19 (I think that’s the right year)… I just expect failure at this point unfortunately

I wish I could play MY normal game, just ONCE!

This is why it's so hard to support Brad Brownell...

Dec 12, 2022, 8:51 AM

Just when you think he has started to right the ship, the team falls on it's face like they did on Saturday night in Atlanta by getting blown-out by a sub .500 Loyola-Chicago team. Clemson looked totally unprepared to play.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

In addition - Another reason or 2 it is so hard to support BrownL

Dec 12, 2022, 9:13 AM

is that he loses a lot and sucks as a basketball coach.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

I've said it before and I will say it again...

Dec 12, 2022, 10:40 AM

He should have been fired after the 2014/2015 season and of not then, after the 2016/2017 season.

His teams are a reflection of his personality on court….dull, uninspired, no emotion, no excitement, going through the motions. I’ve never seen him hug or compliment, he only shouts and waves his arms barking instructions. It is as if they never practiced and he has to instruct them minute by minute during the game. Other coaches sit and watch their team carry out the game plan, making adjustments as needed. 13 long years of his drudgery!

Class of ‘71. Went through “rat season” and glad I did.

Due to supply chain issues, high demand and a general malaise, we ran out of mulligans 12 years and 10 months ago.
Please check our website at:
Inexhaustibleexcuses.org
for updates on the next mulligan delivery dates.
