The results are rather profound. Even I was surprised by the outcome.
Using Vegas insiders as the standard bearer for reality, it appears on average the Tigernet realists are over 100% further divorced from reality than the pumpers.
It’s also noteworthy that the analysis shows pumpers rarely identify themselves as such. They tend to just state an opinion.
A plurality of realists, on the other hand, take great pride in announcing themselves as a realist before making their declarations.
Overall conclusion:
The people on Tigernet who proudly self identify as realists are at least 100% further divorced from reality than the people they describe as pumpers.

But seriously, it's hard to believe what is true. FSU was so hyped after winning against LSU, but what if LSU isn't that good? Colorado is being hyped but when do they play someone? I think we will know more about teams as weeks go along, but hard for me to say that we are out of this game and hard for me to be overconfident too.

I hate preseason polls. But, since they exist, I will reference one here. There is a reason those people had Clemson finishing ahead of FSU in the media poll. And, a reason Clemson was top 10 in those same polls.
But for a 1 in 200 game versus Duke where the most mundane things went wrong; the most laughable simple plays blew up - we are still likely top 10 and the line is exactly where it is now!
Folks who go "PUMPER" to me are a bit "dramatic".
The sky is falling and the world is coming to an end if we don't hang 80 on people like Oregon does. It's unreal. Some among us are spoiled as if a National Championship is promised/guaranteed. Believe the man now - "it's hard to win"! DDRAINS - great question.

The thing I keep coming back to is, if FSU played like they did Saturday against Duke, they lose by double digits.
That said, their W against LSU will age well and we don’t have a quality win yet, so difficult to really gauge this team.

Too close to call, but I'm calling Clemson and the field goal kicker brought out of retirement wins the game with the clock running out. Later becomes a great movie when we go on to win natty this year.

I have no faith we will win this game. I’ve learned anything can happen but I don’t see a defense or special teams that can win this.
Our QB is gaffe-prone. Our WRs are not deep threats. Our OL is not elite. Our kicker is a headcase.
I think our offense will look better than we did against Duke. But our D will be exposed for being poorly led.
Please Clemson, show me I’m lost. I want very badly to eat crow. I’ll have fun talking about how wrong I was.

Al that adds up to - not as bad as some people are making it out to be. Yea, there have been some mistakes, yet we’re still doing well statistically.
The Duke game was a fluke. Some bad turnovers. It’s not nearly as bad as you wrote up there.

the money is wagered. Clemson was given a lot of points a couple weeks ago and a lot of money when down on Clemson covering the spread. When that side of the betting got heavy the spread changed.
The odds maker's goal is to have the money sitting evenly on each side so that it's break even for the bookies and their profits come for taking a small percentage of the bets.
I wouldn't bet against Clemson. All the preseason hype that FSU has arrived is pure speculation. ESPiN was looking to hype up a D1 game for opening the season. LSU and FSU just happened to be scheduled which was the obvious pick. SEC vs ACC, two southern teams which have won NC in recent memory.
There's a good chance neither of those two teams will be in the top 15 at the end of the season.
ESPiN is pushing the portal too and only because it's something to talk about and another excuse for pumping the SEC and national favorites upward in the polls.
I watch only games which I've recorded and always mute the TV and FF through the commercials, breaks and halftime. ESPiN is the SEC's marketing agent.
