earlier than the first game.
I'm still not sure UGA is the best in the nation but my opinion doesn't matter. I think the POC will probably see them as the best and it wouldn't surprise me to see UGA get the top spot and a venue close to home.

Well one thing I know is you can forget normal college football as it was.
One game doesn’t tell much anymore.
There is no “best team”
Etc
I think it’s all up for grabs. This is why Clemson has just as a legit shot, if not more of a legit shot, to win it all
All these teams have weaknesses and tendencies.
I would just have to say that if there is one team I don’t want to play, it’s Ohio State.
Something about Ohio State tell me they’ve got the most lethal weapons all around.

Ohio State plays 90% of its games in the Horseshoe, and they play patsies.

our offense. 3 straight years of mediocre to bad results and then we go out and score 3 in an embarrassing loss to Georgia.
The turn around since then has been pretty remarkable. Hopefully the offense continues to roll as the schedule gets more difficult down the stretch.

I honestly have no idea how good we really are. Until we start playing teams that are more competitive and comparable to us, everything else is just subjective opinion. I'm looking forward to these next 3 games as they will begin to answer this question for us.

Well obviously I could see it.
The game was controlled by Georgia.
But there was just so much Clemson needed to figure out.
I’ll tell you right now though.
The key to beating Georgia is having an elite QB and elite receivers. Of course that’s key in any game, but if they play well together, you have a chance.
I think we’d give them a closer game now. We would score multiple times. 100%. And I think the defense has more confidence now.
If you only take one thing from me all year, it’s that I know we are good enough to do anything we hope to do.
Elite teams lose to massively inferior teams all the time. Anybody can beat anybody. I fully believe this.

Georgia won in the trenches, against both us and Texas. I think that is still going to be where our improvement has to come in order to be as successful as we need to be.
Texas has great QBs and receivers but that was not enough to get it done.

To date , Wes' biggest shortfall is his ability to make adjustments at halftime.
That's what cost us the Georgia game.
It's an area that BV excelled at what contributed to a large extent , one of the best DC's in the country year after year.
Eventually Wes will need to vastly improve in this area as the season progresses with increased focus on the playoff teams if we advance.
We know we have the talent ( Georgia - 2nd half ) You very well better know the teams we are likely to face will make adjustments , In fact , some will adjust on the fly and not necessarily wait until HT.
Can Wes answer the call ? We shall see.

UGA made the offensive adjustments at halftime and opened up Carson Beck. We tested your secondary late in the 2nd quarter and it obviously worked. There were no CLemson adjustments "on the fly" after that. What was Dabo's game plan? No one really knows...except to keep the game close for as long as he could with a quick/short passing game and to pray for turnovers. Cade only averaged 4.9 yards per pass and he only had one completion over 20 yards all day long. 2 first downs in the first half.
CLemson's defensive talent stayed alive for the 1st quarter and a half, but depth is the problem. The truly elite defensive teams can rotate 4-5* starters and backups. UGA scored points on 6 of their final 8 possessions.

I think you described it pretty well. Our game plan was focused on not beating ourselves and trying to keep it close heading into the 4th quarter, similar to the last time we played. We were more ball control focused but we couldn't get the run game going against your DL and our receivers got very little separation and we simply couldn't find any success on offense based on what we had prepared for. I do think our defense played pretty well, particularly in the 1H, but your 2H adjustments were very good and our D wore down a bit as the game played out.
I do believe you did us a huge favor by exposing our weaknesses. It forced us to open up our personnel and offense, and give some younger guys a chance to prove themselves. Depth is an issue this year that we can't really fix on the fly, so all we can do right now is play some guys who aren't ready and try and get them up to speed as the season wears on.
As I mentioned previously, I'm not quite sure how good we are but we've done what we needed to do up to now, and if we continue to build momentum as our schedule improves, we have the opportunity to peak at the right time and perhaps win a conference championship and make a playoff run.
