Im rooting for Miami

Never thought I would root against a chance for Clemson to go to the conference title game but it's the truth. We are not a playoff caliber team or program anymore. I hate typing this but until we hit rock bottom nothing will change. Pumpers will be happy with 9 win seasons, and if by some luck we end up in the ACC title game, it will be an excuse for nothing to change and another empty bragging point for Dabo.

Dabo will probably get a pay raise and contract extension if we were to win. No thanks!

Not really. You want to be embarrassed next week? No thanks. Hopefully changes are made and we are a better team next year.

If change is what you want then getting embarrassed is the best way. But I rather the young players get more experience in primetime games that make a difference. Give them more coaching and playing time will make them better next year.

I would agree with you if I thought the coaching and philosophy were up to standard. 9-3 against our schedule is pathetic. Some of those players you're speaking of will understand it and transfer out. The current trajectory of our program is resembling the years of "##########" and Bowden.

Why is it a dumb take? We are 1-3 this season against any team that are at least average. The lone victory was against Pitt in the final minute against their backup QB. I don't like it anymore than you do, im just speaking the truth. This season, and the program as whole, is currently not playoff worthy. I love my Alma Mater but the truth hurts.

We lost to a good team

Because it happens to be Carolina, you are angrier than usual

Relax, whatever happens happens. But we are certainly good enough to compete against teams in the playoffs.

We showed it today

Please remind me of what team we have beaten this year that would make you think we could compete? We have beaten NO ONE!

How did we show it today? Zero points in the second half. Over 150 yes rushing to their QB. A turnover on downstairs with one yard to gain. A failed drive from inside the 30 with a chance to win. We are 1-3 against average or better teams this year. The one victory? Pittsburgh with a backup QB with a miracle drive in the last 2 minutes. Yes, I hate losing to South Carolina. However, I'm more irate at the continued negligent direction of our once proud program.

Compete doesn’t mean beat

I guess you’ve gotten those mixed up.

Carolina is a team that may very well be in the playoffs

And we should’ve beaten them. Nonetheless “compete” with them

There’s y’alls’ explanation

Not me! I was pulling for Syracuse all the way. Miami’s defense is worst than ours.

We held SC to fewer points than any other team has this year, with the lone exception of Ole Miss. Do I think we are great? No way. But it isn't as bad as some people want to make it out to be. I wouldn't mind having a better DC, but we could do worse. A lot of the problems today were the inability to tackle.

What does being a playoff caliber team have to do with playing in our conference championship game? We earned the right to be there through our performance in 8 conference games this season relative to others in our same conference.

It reinforces the misguided idea that Dabos way is working. I want to see change in the program. I want to see a philosophy shift to trying to win games, not lose them. I want to see an offense not handicapped by the head coach. I want a defense that tackles and plays with the aggression of old. I want a head coach that realizes this is 2024, not 2014. That progress and adapting to the future is not something to shy away from. I want a roster that has depth, with outside talent used to plug deficiencies. An ACC champ appearance is just gonna gloss over these problems and allow them to be dismissed as just fan overreactions.

You're a playoff caliber team if you get there. Period. The Committee set up the

criteria, and if we win next week, we qualify. Simple as that.
