I certainly do. My CU diploma frame is made from the wooden seat planks.

Growing up going to Clemson games, I certainly remember getting splinters from the old wooden bench seats.
After my graduation, my wife had my Clemson diploma framed using some of the boards of wood which even have the seat numbers showing on the wood. I proudly display this work of art in our living room!

I'm old enough, but never went to a game in Clemson back then.

However I did go to games at FSU where the endzone seats were totally separate from the sidleine seats. Separate gates. Couldn't go from endzone to the rest of the stadium. Cost 2 bucks to get in.
Side note, I watched FSU beat the coots from those seats. QB for FSU was Gary Huff. He had 200+ yards passing and 4 TD passes in the second quarter! (Not in the first half. Just the 15 minutes of the second quarter.)

I really appreciate your hatred of coots. I’m sure you don’t care about them, but I appreciate it’s obvious to see how terrible of a fanbase it is

I think that we sat in those wooden endzone bleachers when we beat y'all a few years ago. I remember my jacket falling thru to the ground, and within 10 seconds one of the vultures under the bleachers had it and was gone.

Actually, my freshmen year at Clemson was 1972. After I got my B.S. in Construction Management from Clemson in '76 I went on to the National Academy of Nuclear Training. I retired at 55. Now I am 69, I can build my own computers.
I studied computer programing at Clemson before the imputation of the microchip when computers were the size of a room room and you programed with 'punch cards'. During '77 after microchips were introduced to personal computers I bought one of the first personal computers of the day the Coleco Adam. (Google it) I call my cell phone my electronic brain because of some of the apps on it.
It may be funny to pick on the old people but I think College was much harder in those days. Case in point was freshman English. I seem to remember that every Friday you had to write a few pages of something that you got to pick from 5 topics And if you got more than 5 words misspelled, it was an automatic 'F'.
If any your English courses were anything like those courses, I wonder how many people would pass those courses now.

year, I stood gaping while thinking, "Man, this is big time football!"
Big game days could see about 40,000 in the stands; games started in the early afternoons; the seasons began about mid-September; we played about four home games a year. As home games meant big CDA-sponsored dances on the weekend nights, we wouldn't have put up with night games. Being a Clemson cheerleader for three years, I rarely sat in the stands, and was atop the hill for the rundown the day the tradition of touching Howard's Rock began.
Fast forward to the upper deck additions, and I couldn't believe the new DV. Now, other than its location, it ain't the DV of my youth. In fact the whole campus isn't the Clemson of my youth, and I understand why Clemson, older alumni of my youth used to say the same.

many buildings left from my 1972-76 timeframe that are still around and untouched. Earle H.ell, the Chem E building, is one of the ones that still looks pretty much the same, though. No more Clemson House, no more Johnstone, even, at least not as we knew it. And, Tillman Hall is no longer Tillman Hall, but back to being Old Main.
The biggest change that makes me feel REALLY old is that of the Student Union. What is now the "old" Student Union was brand new and just OPENED during my time at Clemson, and now, at least some of it is being razed to make way for further changes. As far as Death Valley is concerned, even though there have been, and continue to be, many changes, at least Howard's Rock remains, and the fact that the Valley remains in its original location despite all the changes around it is somehow comforting to this old alumnus.
I also just flat out LOVE The Scroll of Honor and Memorial Plaza that was added across from the Valley a few years ago. Clemson has a rich military history that should never, ever be forgotten. Time will always march on, including changes in the landscape at Clemson. But, at least, we always take the time to remember where we came from, and salute that history.

I remember them well.
How about freshman football? That was in place in the 60’s too. No freshmen could play on the varsity regardless of their ability .

More than that, I remember when they were used as the bar at the Esso Club. The numbers were still there and they had a wheel on the wall that they would spin. If you glass was on the number that came up, you got a free draft. I once was fortunate enough to win a glass of the coldest beer in Clemson. (Had ice in the foam.)
