stance on the expanded playoffs. I now think it will be a good thing for schools, players and especially fans. Heck, why wait? The sooner the better!

The expansion was coming no matter what. It is money, money, money.
Now, with 12 teams I would assume it is a double bye for top 2, single bye for teams 3/4.
I did not like it at first, thinking there is NO way there are 12 legitimate teams than can win the CFP. And for the first few years this selection process was correct, the best teams were in the playoff.
This year, it would seem that there is a couple of very good teams, but with only 4 games played, much is still left to play out. It may turn out to be only 4 legit teams with a chance. But the landscape of college football is so different, the 12 team system will most likely be the only/best way to figure things out in competition instead of in theory.

I like it. If the 12 team field was selected today, there would be 8 ACC teams in.
FSU - given
Duke - given
Miami - given
UNC - given
Clemson - statistically dominated Duke and FSU and we're Clemson
Cuse - 4 and 0
Lville - 4 and 0
NC State - 3 and 1, close loss to ND, plus the league is loaded so the committee needs to cut them a little slack
