I did all concrete. It was supposed to be about 60 yards, but it ended up being 70 yards. I had a 400 ft drive X 10 ft wide plus a turnaround section.
He charged me 60 X $135/CY + 10 X $100/CY = $9,100

and it was.....multiple trucks.
It doesn't make sense. Concrete is $200/CY, labor shouldn't be over $100/CY.
So I would estimate your driveway at 65 X 300/CY ~ $20,000. That would make sense.
But instead...it is 1.5 times what makes sense.

I've seriously contemplated numerous times just saying eff it and buyin a dump truck, dozer, paver, and roller and going out and paving driveways.
I know some guys who only do driveways and small parking lots that live a very, very comfortable life.

~$350k for what was quoted at $95k about 2 years ago...and $350k was the lowest out of 4 bids. Highest was $695k.

once, guys paving down the street came by with the ol' "we've got some asphalt leftover and can give you a great deal to pave your driveway today". Mrs No wrote them a check. Wasn't a very good job, but lasted a few years til we moved here. Guys that quoted me today had heard that story a few times.

We had that alright, but it's not what they said it was going to be.
This massive inflation and gouging has got to come to an end at some point.
But I also said that in 2012 when houses on IOP were going for $375K.

I spent 18k on edging and pavers at the end with a little bit of drainage. A few years ago I got a quote for 40k for stamped conc so I kept gravel.
My drive is only 250 feet but a large turn around with a center planter and a 3 car garage. My guess is 20k for asphalt. Ill get quotes after edging.
