App Fan Here

Hello Tiger fans. Ignore the App State blogger who wrote that piece that many of you have read. 99.9% of our fans ignore his ignorant blather as well. He's a pretty sad person if truth be known and he takes pleasure in "stirring the pot". Don't give him the satisfaction folks. App fans on the whole have great respect for Clemson and look forward visiting your campus and enjoying the hospitality to you are famous for. App is a football-centric school which is the exception in NC and we take a natural liking to schools who are like minded in their passion for football.
There are a few neat ties between the two schools. There are two former Clemson players on our coaching staff...Scot Sloan and Justin Watts. Don Munson is an App alum as is IPTAY CEO Davis Babb.
Looking forward to the visit and again, ignore the troll. Best regards Tiger fans!

Thanks for sending us Justin Watts, Scot Sloan, Justin Stepp, and for only offering Armanti Edwards at corner! All did (or are still doing) great things for us.

Justin was the first coach Chad Morris hired at SMU from what I understand. Justin is a great young position coach and he has a bright future ahead of him. We're very fortunate to have someone the quality of Watts step in to coach our receivers with Justin having moved on.

He was certainly not the most talented, but was a hard worker and always seemed to give it his all.

Can you take Munson back please???? In all seriousness though, welcome. I've always had a ton of respect for App State and its fanbase.

Thanks, 87. TDog is definitely not representative of the App fans who will be at the game.
We were looking at enrollment in the two schools today. I was surprised to find out that Clemson's undergraduate enrollment is only a few hundred higher than App's.
Clemson fans, like Appfan87 says, ignore the troll. Those of us who know football know Clemson's history and are looking forward to seeing a game in Death Valley.

App St is almost the same size student wise. I will say this as well......we all loved it when you guys beat Meeshagin in the Big House. Instant Classic!!!!
BTW..... I love that Blowing Rock and Boone area. That is beautiful country!
Glad to hear that Dude of App St is the exception and not the rule

App and Clemson share some other personnel over the years including Coach Tommy West who coached at App in the early 80's . Additionally, Ron West's son , Brad, played linebacker at App a few years ago. Looking forward to a hard hitting affair. Clemson is so deep at every position. However, App is deeper than we have ever been . It will be fun to see us compete with close to 85 scholarships for the first time.

There was a poll that came out on the rudest fans in College Football. #1 was west VA, #5 Georgia, #7 was USCjr. Amazing that Maryland didn't make the list. The SEC homer and Spurrier lover who is the sports editor for the Rome, GA newspaper was amazed that Clemson did not make the list anywhere.
