Saturday is a our last trip to Blacksburg until 2031

Tim Bourret just said so on the radio. We play VT in Death Valley in 2024.
Isn't that pretty ridiculous? The ACC needs to do something about schedule rotation. Either eliminate permanent rivals or go to 9 conference games.

Take a break, get a job or whatever. Then I'll kick them out and tell them to go make a living and grandkids.

I thought I was an old dad. My first was born when I was 35 and second when I was 38. Start paying tuition next year and pay for at least 8 years. It is amazing how much more it is now than when I was paying in the 80's, God I miss the 80's.

The coots never play Alabama or LSU so it must be like that in all conferences.

I'd like to play them more, but enjoy not playing Duke, UNC, and UVA much. Plus being able to schedule Auburn, A&M, UGA, and Notre Dame is better than the 9th conference game. It's a net positive

We could still play Auburn, A&M, etc. AND 9th conference game. This year we could skip Kent State or Citadel in favor of 9th conference game.
There's 4 non-conference games currently.
We play SCAR. We play one Power-5 team (e.g. Auburn) We play one small in-state school (Citadel, Presbyterian, SC State, Furman...) We play one mid-major (e.g., Kent St.)
Drop the mid-major and play a 9th conference game. We've played Auburn more often over the last 5 years than we've played any team on the other side except for Ga Tech. Heck, we've play Oklahoma AND Ohio State AND Alabama more often of the last 5 years than most teams in the Coastal.

It want work because every team wants to play 7 home games. You would never be able to play another out of Conference power 5 team because it would have to be a home and away series.
9 conf games plus the coots would be 10 games. 5 home and 5 on the road. The remaining 2 games would be home games against the Kent States, Citadels ETC.

I've always enjoyed their fans and have never had a problem with them - always thought Beamer ran a classy program. Why can't we save our knees and swap them out for GT? Or at the least, rotate through the Coastal programs, instead of being forced to deal with that triple option garbage every year.

It is amazing that we have played Auburn more in recent years than we have UNC, Miami, and Virginia.
