How can a program who has been arguably the best or 2nd best program over the last decade with multiple NC appearances 4.... 6 playoff appearances...2 national titles and tons of acc championships...
how...or why....
does it feel like we're about to get left out?
Is it actually possible that we could be left out of this whole thing? WHY?
WHY?????
Clemson is a HUGE brand. How could we get left behind here?
The higher ups need to get off their azzess and do something. If we get stuck left in the ACC we WILL crumble eventually.
It just feels like we're doing nothing and it just feels like we're getting left. WAKE UP.

Clemson isn't going to be left without a seat at the table. You can bank on that.

They have done wayyyyy more than you coukd ever imagine. To the tune of million dollars in legal fees researching options. They don't have to tell the world what they are doing. I guarantee multiple options have been discussed and made aware of what schools are doing.
I imagine greatly that Neff is not really on vaca this week as he is on the phone and net figuring out his proposal to BOT.

FOMO is real, but if you recall tge ACC meeting earlier in the year when we and fsu came out on day 1 of 3 and kinda trashed the conference, openly, the next day it was quiet and next everyone was "happy"? Our people were working on something before that meeting which was pretty clearly an exit strategy or ultimatum.

Something was presented/threatened at that ACC meeting that got Commish’s attention. It’s been clear for over a year that no one was happy with the GOR/TV deal but nothing had been done by ACC to address it.
I wonder if FSU/Clemson said “we are going to challenge it this way” and it spooked Phillips enough to know there is a slim chance that these schools could get out. Hence the quick change in distribution model.
Just my thoughts.

Left out of what? When the season starts and we start kicking rear ends all you youngsters that think the earth is flat and we are about to fall off will be back to normal. We are fine, the ACC is fine and college football is fine. Be patient.

The schools in the ACC need to survive this stupid conference tea berry shuffle. The NCAA needs Clemson and the other ACC teams. The NCAA & ACC need to figure this out, eliminate the GOR, and negotiate with E$PN or other TV networks.

Clemson and FSU will move to SEC or BIG10…whichever officially invites with all the board governance and legalities worked out. ACC will then just be a good basketball conference. D Rad started aligning the entire sports offerings of Clemson to mimic the SEC and/or BIG10 and Nef has continued that strategy. It’s not all about football. Minor men’s and women’s sports have been shut down with all sorts of new ones added over the past 5 years. Men’s wrestling is about to be spun up again for example….softball, gymnastics, the swim and dive team changes….all of this was to make CU more attractive to the SEC (originally) and now even the BIG10. All of these details matter when you line up conference competition and also how much each school can get covered by the ESPN conference TV channels. 2nd and 3rd tier tv and digital rights will so much more lucrative in a different conference because of all these types of changes…it’s not all about football. The Clemson sports footprint is nothing like the typical ACC school anymore. The BOT saw this coming and D Rad helped start the metamorphosis. They groomed Nef to keep the strategy in place. Clemson will not be in the ACC forever. It’s coming. It’s been telegraphed for years…just read the financial reports of all the athletic departments in play here. I am personally an ACC traditionalist and don’t want CU to leave…but they will because the financial impact athletically and then to the overall school is going to be 5 times more over time. It’s about money…and not just the annual money in the TV deals.

i think it’s possible - we have been shoving our fingers in the SECs eyes with beat downs …geographically would think certainly more attractive to b1g but other schools more attractive due to academics etc
Improbable - but certainly possible
