Whoa. "Freshman punter, Cason Beatty, has not impressed so far"? What does it take to impress you, Mickey? Here are his punts:
Murray State 28 yards, fair catch at Murray St 13 39 yards, returned for 2 to Murray St 43 36 yards, downed at Murray St 8
Savannah State 46 yards, fair catch at Savannah St 7
Wake Forest 38 yards, downed at Wake 5 39 yards, downed at Wake 5 41 yards, fair catch at Wake 14 50 yards, touch back
He has an average of 39.625 yards for his punts, which is fairly low, but you can't really punt any farther than that when you're putting them at the 5, 5, 7, 8, 13, and 14. He's got an average starting field position after punt at the 14 yard line. You've got to give credit where it's due.

According to these stats, WF stopped them near mid-field 4 times. Was this late in the game against subs?

IIRC Wake stopped them 2-3 in the 1st Q to open the game.

Then basically didn't get another stop for 30-40 minutes until the scrubs were in.

Seing that he kept is out of the endzone is a good thing.

There's a lot of punts pinned down inside the 5 or 10 yard line, which is pretty clutch.
This just means he is pretty accurate...

FSU might have the nation's #1 defense in stats right now

But the nation's best defense resides in Tuscaloosa.
