I'm honestly not sure why you'd even want to create a super conference. All you'd need to do in that system is go like 11-1 or 10-2, and you'd make the playoff. Oklahoma and Texas putting themselves in a conference where they'll now have to battle with Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, and Texas A&M just seems silly to me. Sure they will get more TV money, but the team isn't going to make the playoff as often (not that Texas has shown an ability to make a playoff recently anyways).
If you add more difficult teams to your conference, your own odds of making the playoff go way down. You might get 3 or possibly 4 teams from a single conference, but you're not going to get 5 or 6 teams.
Even without ND or expansion, the ACC will be fine especially with the Big 12 becoming weaker and the PAC-12 being basically irrelevant for the last 5+ years. Even if we're the 3rd best conference most years, it's still not going to be difficult for us to find ourselves in the playoffs even in years where we slip up and lose a game or possibly 2.
