They aren't true, so no need to worry about it. Adding G5 schools to the Pac-12 was always an option, but Stanford and Cal weren't interested in that. The ACC pays much better than the new Pac will, and the academics are much more respectable (which is something their admin cares about more than a lot of other schools do). They'll deal with the travel until the next round of realignment, at least. They'd probably leave the ACC for the B1G, but not to go back to a shell of what the Pac-12 was.

Saying that was just wrong when you knew there would be a large number of T-Netters catching up with what has been going on, and now I just had to clean Pepsi from all over my laptop!!!

You denying the fact that illegals are eating dogs and cats is ironic. Lots of the world eats animals we consider pets. You having a problem with it is the intolerant part. You are gullible and have zero self awareness.

HiAndthentherewere , it’s a fact that around the world animals we consider to be pets are sold in markets - especially rural ones - to be cooked and consumed. I agree 100%.
It is also true that illegal and legal Immigrants can and do bring many of their cultural norms and practices to their new homes when they Immigrate.
All I meant by my post was that one can get into trouble if they don’t question their sources or truthfulness/accuracy of info.

I have traveled in the third world, and one reason they are not overrun with dogs and cats is because people eat them. Along with rats, mice, any tweety birds, bait fish, snakes and insects! I don't know of a particular case, but if you think Hatians are not eating the animals mentioned, you are in an alternate universe. Just like slaughtering the unborn is common in the US. Unlike democrats, the Druids and others waited for the baby to be born before sacrificing.
On Cal and Stanford, they are stuck in the ACC just like Clemson and FSU. On the other hand, that ESPN Grant of Rights (one sided) in the contract will for the last 8 (or 10) years where the ACC is committed to ESPN, but ESPN is not committed to the ACC will likely fall in court. That would give the ACC including Clemson and FSU the right to renegotiate with ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC, CBS, etc.... NBC has their Notre Dame deal, and would like to add the ACC.

Exactly. That PAC would always take Cal/Stanford. It's not like they have

to decide or the door closes. And if Geography mattered to them, they could have joined the Big 12 or...heck...the Mountain West. They could have easily coordinated this PAC expansion if that's what they wanted. They want the money of the ACC (we might think it's small, but it's better than that conference) and the academic prestige of the ACC. If something changes with that PAC or the ACC collapses, Stanford and Cal can just give the new PAC a call.

Pro Tip: Outlets like Bleacher Report (really most news outlets) dont exist to report the news or inform their readers. They exist to write stories, regardless of being truthful, which will generate interest so they can get paid.

They will run into the same issues we have...
"Multiple sources have told On3 it's a logical move for Cal and Stanford to join the Pac-12 if a window opens to leave the ACC," Nakos wrote.
Amanda Christovich of Front Office Sports reported that Cal and Stanford could need to file lawsuits to break the ACC's grant of rights, which runs through summer 2036."

LOL! Been watching too much of the Big 12 social media talking heads again? No way they go back to a conference with NO network and maybe Group of 5 TV money if they are lucky.

You got me.
Cal/Stanford not leaving ACC to head back west to PAC-Lite conference.
B1G ….oh yes, they would be gone in a heartbeat. Join the other former PAC members plus the other AAU schools.

how funny would that be? The only reason Phillips went after them in the first place was to increase the number of votes needed to end the contract. If he actually brought in two more yes votes that would be hilarious.

the ACC's contract with ESPN could be voided or renegotiated if the number of league teams drops below a specified number.
Phillips brought in Cal, SMU, and Stanford in anticipation of FSU and Clemson (among others) leaving.

I'm happy that's out there as a potential option.

That's two potential votes we didn't have earlier to simply disband the ACC altogether if it comes to it. Add them to Clemson, FSU, UNC, NC State, Va Tech, Pitt, and Miami and we could simply scrap this sagging tomato once and for all.
