If LSU were to win

They would have one of the worst defenses to ever win a national championship.

Dating back to 2011 every title winning team had a top 10 defense except for 2014 Ohio state (ranked 19th)...which they played Oregon who had the 89th ranked defense...ouch.

LSU is ranked 30th this season.
