Was it Wes or Dabo who opted for Nickel?

I know Dabo mentioned it was a coaching decision. I am wondering if Dabo let Wes sink or swim by going with nickel and not intervening. I know he has been critical of the defense this season, and with his comments about people "losing their jobs" over the SC game, I do wonder if Dabo just let Wes totally own his success or failure of going Nickel. Thoughts?

with Dabo. And if by the last coot touchdown, both he and pockchop and every coach on the team couldn't perceive that we needed our BEST pursuit player to at least try and stop the QB who was running all over us all day, then I'm sorry... but they are just inept. Incompetent. Whoever is responsible for teaching basic tackling technique at Clemson is inept. Incompetent.

But I just have to think he was letting Wes fight for his job on that drive. However, the thought of Dabo letting Wes make that decision knowing it was not going to work is tough, especially considering it was the Coots.

in this rivalry game in the last two years, and the numerous times that we've heard Dabo say "I didn't get the job done" after inexplicably poor preparation or game strategy that resulted in bad losses, it is DABO who should be fighting for his job. All this bluster about how great this coot team is, and it turns out that we have more than enough to beat them. But instead we lose because the coaches are clueless and gutless.

Going to a nickel against a running team is outcoaching yourself. You seeing things not happening on the field. Very poor decision that helped us to suffer the embarrassing SC loss.
