Not in Clemson, but if you had to live outside of Clemson and not Greenville...

I mean one of those cities around Clemson, Pickins, Anderson, Easley, Walllhalla, etc etc etc... Where would you live? I haven't been up there in years, so I don't know what has, if any place, has turned into a great spot to live up there.

Kids? Then school system is likely major consideration.
Want to live in or near lake?
Neighborhood or country?

I was just thinking about a random single person or a a 30 year old couple. I am just wondering if there are any cool spots to live around there now. They used at all kind of sucks imo .

Pitch a tent in Beng’s backyard and dare him to make me move 😉
Srs - the lake side of Seneca or if I couldn’t be on the water somewhere in the Tammasse-Salem area

I’m not 30 and definitely not hip.
More about the beautiful outdoors up there.
If you want hip I hear walk up apartments in downtown Greer are all the rage right now.

What's the prettiest city then with the best outdoors? What also has the best balance?

An hour to Clemson, 15 min to Brevard, an hour to Asheville

and space is contracting here in North Oconee County. Not too bad yet, but the signs are there.
The ones from up North, plus many, many Atlantans are moving here. I must know 10 or 12 from Atlanta who have escaped to here since COVID-era.
But I have to say that the vast majority of these folks from Chicago, or Michigan, or whatever snowy lands have thankfully left their ways behind (most say its WHY they left) and have assimilated quite happily. Overwhelmingly nice people, they are kind of amazed a place like this still exists.
As for "best city" I wouldn't know. I just need a grocery store and a Tractor Supply/Tri-Star, I don't need anything a city has to offer. I haven't lived in a pizza delivery zone in over 20 years.

Little Pabst was born in Oconee County when I was a Jr. Always said Oconee County was best kept secret in all of SC.
