My deer hunting plan for next fall.

There are so many deer at the lake house and the govmint says it’s legal to hunt the core land. So I’m gonna get a crossbow and a corn feeder. I’ll have them coming in every morning, set up a camo blind on the back porch, shoot deer while I’m sipping coffee on the porch.

The only problem I foresee is if I wound one and it runs over onto some neighbors property and dies. Then I have to go drag it away.

My barber growing up used to shoot deer sitting in the door to his hayloft which had a coffee pot, tv, and a beer fridge.
Hay trolly doubled as a deer hoist

get 4 or 5 a week off my back porch. Wouldn't even be a challenge. Of course they'd probably stop coming around like the squirrels do. I shoot 4 or 5 squirrels (only animal I kill, I hate those tree rats) and I don't see any for 3 months, they have some sort of communication between each other to warn and stay away. When new batch is born, they repopulate until I dust some of them off.

I watch deer year round every morning and most every afternoon off my deck down by my pond. 75-100 feet away. They are more fun to watch than it would be to kill them. I only shot one this past year and that was a mercy kill, it had a severely broken leg. Went down and shot him with my .45 pistol between the eyes.
