In both RPI’s I looked at and I think a win over #16 GT would secure a top 8 national seed! Regardless great way to finish the regular season w Pitt and then VT and Nc State to secure a host. Jobs not done… Go Tigers!

Just read the field projection has us at 11 but I do think a win over GT puts us in serious contention for a top 8.

#11 has worked out for the softball team so far. If someone had asked me how the team would do this season, I would have had to answer hoping to make a regional with all the young talent. Especially after the rough start. These girls have the no quit attitude. They've accomplished so much but it's not over. Now the young men need to finish off strong and win the ACC. NCSt was the team we looke the worse against all season. They have redeemed themselves and now take the GT game tomorrow and move to FSU on Sunday. to redeem that series loss.

We have a very good team however the discussion about seeding is a product of our own mistakes. during the slump we dropped game at FSU with 2 run lead with 2outs in bottom of 9th, had 6 run lead at home against Duke. Either one of those would have given ACC title with tie breaker against Tech. Both would given us two series wins and probably super. Question; What is up with Gaffney, injury? W behy is Priest in line up? Lowest batting avg in line up and a better bat McCladie for exsample at DH would better balance than Priest's occasional HR.

Gaffney can’t hit his way out of a wet paper bag and was an error machine the last 3 series in the field. That’s why he’s riding the pine. McCladdie and Bissetta are both out for the season. Idk who you bring in for priest but it’s a big problem. Swings at awful pitches and just a sloth running the bases

Honestly I feel like Jarrell or Listi could be moved up to 3rd at this point. I think Bakich is going for L-R-L to at least have one handedness advantage if they bring in a lefty. The only thing is that Listi has been killing it in the 5-hole after a rough stretch in leadoff. I think he is keeping him at 5 to be the "second leadoff" that provides a spark for the second half of the lineup. Priest is having a good-ish season, he almost has an even ratio of strikeouts to walks but also hits homers. He needs to stop being so patient, too many times he watches good pitches go by and then falls behind and swings at terrible pitches because they look good. He's a good power hitter, he's still somehow 4th on the team in productivity, behind Cam, Listi, and Jarrell, and tied with Purify, he just needs to be more aggressive.
